I was digging things out of my lower barn the past week. As I mentioned I found a boarding ladder that was in a CUCV M1008 I bought back in 1995. It was a complete truck with new fiberglass troop seats and a new tarp and roof bows. You just don't buy them like that anymore. I also came across a set of jumper cables that were in a truck. Slave cable to clamps. Odd set. But after a lot of work I am about 1/2 way thru my project. The selves and totes are a huge improvement. Take Care and have a Great Day. I have work to do. Spring is coming. Just not today. 25* this AM. Oh yea, Check out that hand painted stencil sign. It was on a floorboard in the barn. The Latrine will be closed almost 70 years ago. I was going to burn it but saved it. I have some Vietnamese signs also I came across in my hoard.

I want to tell you. I love Facebook market. I placed 10 things on marketplace yesterday and sold 12 things. The Kubota parts are a hot item. I am going to be listing some CUCV stuff on marketplace as soon as I get the last 2 shelves up and organized. I may also get a sellers account here, but I think there is a limit to the number of items you can list at one time. I received infractions in the past for my listings here and that was that. That Mud sure does make the stereo sound better in the M1009. Cuts down on the road noise until it rains. I found the only mudhole on a 200-acre field that was being prepared for warehouses. Free WOOD brought me there. We were allowed to cut all the wood we wanted as long as we wore our PPE.

During my barn renovations I came across a few military tow bars. I listed them on Facebook market place. I have the CUCV style towing adapters on the one and the other is a big heavy beast that I never used. I think it is for a 5 TON.

Shipping would be a killer. But it don't eat anything and I had it hanging for many years. Take Care. My Grand Daughters idea on the mustache. Go to Jail, go directly to jail. Do not pass go, do not collect $50.

I am amazed that every trailer chassis I see has damaged master cylinder caps and break away cable. This one was the first of 3 I have that had perfectly clean fluid and an unbroken cap on the master cylinder. Only issue is the casting ears on the master cylinder are broken off from being forklifted. The breakaway spring clip broken. How do things like this happen? Nice clean DOT 5 brake fluid. And a nice broken cast steel master cylinder. Trailer chassis was previously a generator trailer. Now it is a parts trailer. 2010 trailer chassis with almst zero miles. Nice set of HMMWV tires and 12 bolt wheels are going on the market. I have my first chassis titled, licensed and inspected. Etrailer.com is the go-to for replacement parts for these trailers. Easy, inexpensive and in stock. Both trailers had the rear support leg smashed and the bracket bend beyond use. I spent 2 hours straightening the first one and the second one is bent worse. I am going to add another frame section in the rear and use both the support legs on the rear of the trailer. Things are going well, and I have a useable chassis to transfer my rock crusher onto, Take Care. More Progress Later.

I still am amazed on how things are mistreated when they are moved around. I would have lost my job years ago for handling material and vehicles with this carelessness. The jack was half buried and folded up. How hard is it to lower the jack?

Nice job! I see a possible business venture in flipping and repurposing these heavy duty trailers. Great trailers at a great price.

It starts from the top down. If the owner or supervisor doesn't care the help may not care either. All companies are a reflection from the owner down to the employees. Keep up the good work. Glad these trailers are working out for you.

Nice weather today. I came home after work and continued on my lower barn bay project. I found a lot of good CUCV parts. I found a box with about 20 of the new E brake rubbers in it. Genuine GM. I will be posting a few items on play it forward soon. I would rather give the stuff away and have it been put to use then have it setting in my barn going to waste. Stuff that has value I am posting on Marketplace. Take Care and enjoy the great weather. I heard SNOW is coming tomorrow here. Figures. I have a great day to work, and SNOW has to come. Makes a real mess.

It was a half decent day. After work I removed 2 sections of trailer frame and the front light corners from my newest trailer. Nice forklift modification to the rear support bracket. I can fix it. I am adding another frame section to the rear of the trailer and moving the centered rear section to the side as that is where the crushed stone exits. It will make the rear section stronger. I also removed the front clearance lamp corners and will be doing something different there. That seems to be a weak link in the design, and I see a lot of the trailers with these corners damaged. I can use smaller LED lamps in place of the big corners. Make it stronger that way and less susceptible to damage. More fun later. It is getting to be that time of the year again. Take Care. Today I am out crushing rocks, bricks and concrete. Whatever I can find that will fit into the crusher. I have accumulated tons of material over the past 30 years. I crushed several tons and have much more to go. It is my newest toy I have been working on it for several years. I am going to mount it on the HMMWV M1102 trailer chassis that I rebuilt. It will be higher and wider but have brakes and be able to tow legally on the highway. Take Care. Until it rains on me, I will be crushing. I have a crush on this toy. Be Safe.
