That is for slave starting either your truck, or some one elses truck.. The older slave cables were 2-pin, with them being side by side. They weren't offset from the centerline by much, so it was possible to stuff the connector in with reversed polarity if you really worked at it. The NATO design is coaxial - there in a center pin with an outer sleeve. If you have to cross over between truck generations, there is an adapter from the 2-pin to the NATO connector.

It's for your "fry dady"....it is close to the gas tank so when you are done you can pour the oil in the tank and keep driving(with a nice hot fried lunch!!):mrgreen:
