YUP thats what i was thinkin, actualy i wanted those tank retrivers. They are a seven pasenger that looks like a hemmt. then put 24R21's on it, six total. (24"wide 58" tall) VWALLA a huge hemmit lookin thing that NO ONE would wana mess with. I happen to have a 400 hp cummins and Allison CLBT 750 that would make a good start. add a pinch of 5 ton transfercase. Hydrid front axle using 5 ton outers so i can get to Mack rears with a powerdivider and lockers.

BUT they got hacked up so never mind.

Do you mean the MAN's that sold on GL? Those are pretty hot also.

How about using three 5 ton front axles? That way all wheels would be steer wheels? I read someplace how to set up the rear. If you want I'll start searching for that info.

I REALLY LIKE what you are doing. The idea of a crew cab deuce or Hemmt would be 'slap you in the face' bad.

My wife said I should just pull everything off the deuce down to the frame and just mount my Suburban onto that.

"No one else would have that, would they?"

"No honey, they would not"

So see, I'm not the only crazy person in our family. Thank God for small favors.

the problem with the 5 ton axles is the lack of a power divider on long runs with spendy tires. thats why i would like to get away from them in the rear.

Im just idea shopping for my next project now so maybe in five years i know what i want

Very impressive TATRA.
Just remember though what kind of a job it is to parallel park one, squeeze through the Mickey D drivethrough or find a carhop tall enough to hook the tray on your drivers-side window.
I'm already starting to pay attention to height limit signs for the day the baby HEMTT hits the streets.

Hey, how tall are you looking to be? seems to me my stack is right at 10' 6". I think the only signs to worry about are the parkin lot ones.

We run around with 13'6" all the time heck i have permited 15' 5" before. just gota watch evey wire, knock on wood, and cross your fingers!

German overengineering at its best!
Hey now, wait a durned second there.

That's CZECH engineering! :)

Parts are brutal to get. I used to live in Czech - even there they have a hard time dealing with T-813 parts. T-815 parts are easy though. I left two little old T-805's over there too...probably still sitting at my ex-father-in-laws. LOL. The Tatra Kolos trucks, in running condition, but with electrical problems so they couldn't be technicaled......$650. Yep, those were the days.

RE: Re: Ever Seen a crew cab M35 on 16.00 20

Hey guys, yes it is coming. It is slow at this point. I am in starting a new venture, www.driveatank.com. Been trying to import vehicles. Also working on a machine gun rental store where you can shoot machine guns INSIDE or outside. All of this while still keeping every thing else in the excavating and mining end moving along to pay for it all.

As of now the plan also includes some kind of trany upgrade, either 18 speed or 7 speed spicer and an air brake conversion form normal over the counter parts. I have a backing plate that will bolt on with a single adapter ring and use the factory drums. I also have some really neat air disk parts laying around that might go in just because they are larger diameter the help out with the bigger tires. Im not sure at this point, I guess it depends on the market for an easy air brake converison and if it would pay to get it going and market it. Some days I have trouble just keeping up on the Ouverson lock outs I have been selling!
