LDS is a 5 ton multi engine
LDT is a 2 1/2 ton multi engine.

Pretty much more umph. The LDS is the 5 ton multifuel and is rated at more HP stock. Makes the underpowered deuce a bit less underpowered.

Lets clarify some stuff here. The pic posted in post number 5 is in fact a turbo off an LDS. We need to now clarify that it is off of an LDS 427. Fabio, you need to clarify if you have the LDS 427 or the LDS 465-1A. The LDS 427 is the older deuce engine from the M35A1 and suffers from reported reliability issues. I have no experience with these engines. One of my recent deuce purchases had an LDT with this turbo. If you have the LDS 427 you will likely notice no benefit. The LDS 465-1A is from a 5 ton and does have about 50 more HP. Also note that the original LDS 465-1A had a gated turbo that is significantly bigger. Lots of them were replaced with "C" or "D" turbos at maintenance level. I don't have any numbers as to the benefit of the gated turbo. My recent LDS 465-1A had a gated turbo on it when I first looked at it, when I went to get the engine, the gated turbo was gone. I can't get my money back, the engine was free!
Hope this helps!

Yes, the gated turbo is what I was talking about. When I get it on my wrecker, I will let you know if it makes much difference and what it is.

i would guess my truck at around 200 to 210 hp i can maintain 70 even while pulling 10000lbs on the trailer up slight hills.oh i have 15.5s on there and still takes off faster than with the 9.00s seems more load =more boost and more power .doesnt slow down till i get around 20000 on the back
