GA Rally 2011 videos...
Hi guys,
I was just watching this video from this years Ga Rally.
And I was just wondering, how did you guys manage to get a police escort everywhere?
Also, who is it that drives that black M1009? It looks like mine.. LOL
I would like to go to next years rally, as long as I am welcome.. LOL...
It looks like a lot of fun. But I would stick to the mild trails,
and avoid the puddles..

Jay, I merged your thread asking about the rally videos with the rally multimedia thread.
FYI, there is no need to create a new thread to ask questions about videos featured in another thread. It makes more sense to post the question in the multimedia thread, where the videos were featured, so other readers know which videos you are referencing.
The short answer to your question about the police was that since we knew we would have a lot (20-40) of vehicles taking part in the convoy, we also knew it could be a severe traffic issue going through intersections and such.
WM, being brilliant and well versed in the ways to get in trouble (<--- nowhere on the internet has that first part ever been written) knew it would be a good idea to at least let the local law enforcement agencies know what we were doing, so that they wouldn't freak out when they started getting dozens of 911 calls from terrified citizenry saying the Army had come to capture the town.
He somehow then talked them into giving us an escort so we wouldn't get separated.

Reservations made for us we are going all 4 nights this time Wed 10th - Sunday 14th Wolf Den #2 is now reserved. My wife had such a good time this year she said hay lets go for all 5days next year!....... (I love it when a plan comes together)......Its hard to make a woman feel like something is all her idea..... The whole 5 days here we come!
