That one with the church as you pop out of the end just might be telling you something if you had done something wrong.
Also notice they don't mess around with height. Here's the number in big bold letters on a yellow sign.
You hit-a-my bridge and I'm gonna be ill with you...

Two times this year I have had a member of the Corpus Christi Corvette club come up to me in public and say I needed to enter my Humvee in their fall show, I told them that it was not a Corvette but both times they said it was for any vehicle, so as it turns out the fall show is in support of our military community with proceeds going to local military associated charities.
long story short they had a "patriotic" category so in the DuraVee went, and it came in second.

The gold went to this M37, and deservedly so as it was really set up nice with allot of attention to detail.

CONGRATULATIONS! Happy to hear that you entered and placed in the points
Both are definitely nice looking trucks!

Even better that they help support Military associated charities!!
Now you have a reason to attend that event regularly too.

Yup, sure am. And used it plenty on this trip.
Still, running brakes at the same time as throttle still takes away power and 'subtle' throttle control.
And no matter what, it will never be 100% locked 100% of the time like a good selectable locker is. Lot less strain on the drivetrain if you can apply light throttle and have full traction.
Not that these diffs don't work. They DO work, and I honestly think they are GREAT for 90% of what they are used for. They make an excellent AWD system.

Oh, and I will also say that the MT tires on her M1123 were also a limiting factor compared to my Baja tires.
And to be fair, I did NOT air them down. I had no intention of pushing that far with these vehicles on this trip.

I sure do miss TX BBQ.... I remember the Salt Lick before it got too commercialized... Not sure if that place is still open?

You don't have tire chains yet? I'm back on a set of MT tires, and a pair of chains on the front were getting me all sorts of fun places.

I was out of state a few years ago and the in-laws took us to a restaurant called Texas Roadhouse (chain)
I said we will see about this! and ordered one of the most Texas dishes of all, Chicken Fried Steak and was totally shocked when they said it was not on the menu.
The out and out gall to have Texas in their name and not serve Chicken Fried Steak!!

I have tire chains, and even took them with me. But, like I said, I had no intention of pushing that hard on this day. This has always be a fun day in the snow.
Otherwise I would have aired down and kept going. Chains were there to get OUT of something stupid, not into it ;)

Oh Man, that is a hard pill to swallow, no chicken fried steak in TX? I lived in TX for about 12 years, and I really miss the food that I got in many different parts.
I really miss the hole in the wall places.
I know it's gross, but while in the Army, my statement was 'if they don't have cockroaches, the food isn't good.'
Scary how well that held true.
One chain food place I thought was ok was the County Line. I think that was more around Austin area though.
Best chicken fried steak was out near La Grange. Thing was absolutely HUGE. Took up the entire plate, and they brought another plate with more biscuits and gravy (REAL gravy.....)
