Has anyone ever used the hooks on the 4 corners of a M109A3 box to lift it off the truck? They look to be tied in to frame. Got a buyer and don't want to Wreck it.
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
I have a guy that wants to buy mine. I am going to use the lifting shackles as the TM recommends to remove the box when the time comes. Maloney....do you mind if I ask what you sold your M109 box for?I will let you know if it doesn't go on sunday
Wonder if a 109 box would sit on a dropside bed if I removed the sides?
I think it would but you would have to devise a way to tie it down. The box is just as wide as your cargo box variant. However, I can measure the width of the box if you would like and let you know.Wonder if a 109 box would sit on a dropside bed if I removed the sides?
I'd like to know the width. I'd modify my bedsides if I could sit one on there to make an "RV".I think it would but you would have to devise a way to tie it down. The box is just as wide as your cargo box variant. However, I can measure the width of the box if you would like and let you know.

seems like that would make it really tall.Wonder if a 109 box would sit on a dropside bed if I removed the sides?
