Actually, you could pull the spline caps(front) and axles(rear) and it would only roll on the bearings, no need to check that other crap.

Yep then no need to carry any gear oil. As I said he needed to service all bearings and slave cylinders then he is one step ahead axles out when it gets home. I always carried all fluids and to many tools and found it faster to check fluid levels. Think I made Aaron do it. Then I got smart and just stayed home and called Pete with the step deck.

That's an M109A3. Essentially an M35A2 with a box instead of a bed.

Only bad thing about a shop van is they are a brick when it comes to air flow around the vehicle going down the road. That flat front wall acts like a reverse sail, or at least it does on both of my shop vans.

Need to make a "air dam" like the semi-trucks use. That would help a lot I'm sure.

Just take a pair of batteries and see if it will start. Make sure you check the fuel shut off rod moves freely before hitting the start button.

Also before you crank it take the mushroom off the air filter ,plug all the holes in the filter housing other than the one the mushroom mounts to and have someone standing beside the filter opening with a clip board or other suitable object to cover the air inlet in case you have a runaway.

Rusty, just thinking about your "air dam" idea on the M109A3. One could go with a "air blister" type on the box, and once it's color matched to the truck, it might not look to obvious, and still give some streamlining.
