Nope. Just think of it as a locomotive with rubber tires. Diesel engine driving a generator at more or less a constant speed (better fuel economy and emissions) which in turn charge batteries or drive electric motors. The advantage of electric motors is that they have 100% torque available as soon as you put power to them.so, is this electric drive like a train engine, if so just what we need, rocket science in the middle of the battlefield
There is a guy with an electric car who drag races it and he positively smokes gasoline engined cars.
