I darn sure would, do you know where I can get one cheap?@MarkM maybe you'll like to try an ex-jet engine and see what it does (if it doesn't dry up your tiny fuel tank too quickly first) but..who knows!
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!

That's what I was thinking. Quick change out it That's it.I had a bad cold advance thermostat, shorting out intermittently, causing the pump to advance. It accelerated the truck, but not like a rocket. Definitely a strange feeling though. Disconnect the cold advance wire on your pump, and see if the problem goes away.
Yes….Steve you are talking about the injection pump right? I see no way the fuel pump could cause this.
Second choice is a leaking turbocharger, oil is puddling in the intake to the point it is being pulled into the engine. Should this be the case the exhaust would look like rolling coal. A look on the intake side of the intake manifold should show black oil. Just my 2 cents.Sounds like the armature is sticking inside the pump, ive seen similar….I strongly recommend not driving it till the pump is replaced.
