Mine was also 5 solid lights. From others and what I read, it's dead. I hadn't read about a way to reset with computer.

After calling around (a few sites are still listed as in stock) with no luck, I decided to go with one of the custom units @Plasa makes. He has a couple options. He will be shipping mine soon. I'm in Tacoma, maybe it would save a few bucks to ship together? Ships out of Italy

Might be good option to reach out to him.

If you search CTIS Arduino you will see his posts
I would like to get the stock unit working and would only do this as a last resort. I haven't spent much time on researching this yet. I would really like to see if we can get a way to fix the stock units.

Going to call my truck the socket buster... and these fasteners are NOT rusted. I don't know if this is factory apes or military gorillas who tighten these fasteners... Fine thread to boot. I think its time to invest in a rattle gun... never needed one before... Just don't know if I want to go air or cordless.

And trying to find a drive line place that is open I can get my rear shaft balanced. Not making much progress. Gerr....

IMHO get air gun and or corded electric ones ... I know that is opposite of the trend.... but the batteries never die.... nor need replacing and you have on board air anyway...... add a tank just for gun (or a portable one on wheels) you can fill up if you want...... You can always find a shop air system in craigslist or Facebook market place to and use as is..... or scrap it and use just the tank to add to truck for tool use.

I was installing the drive shaft. I wasn't too sure how tight to make the bolts and I stripped one. I sure hope it was the bolt and not the yoke. Man I am not a happy camper. I know why they military went to the bolts with the head that breaks off. I wish I could find those.

Half the battle is getting after the task. Either way, you will find a resolve, or a way around. The next one, or situation will be accomplished with the knowledge gained. Just remember, others have been exactly where you are at.

Been replacing the Packard connectors... They are all cracked and rotted...

I also changed out the right rear tail light holder weldment. The one that can on the truck was one for a wench. It was driving me crazy. Not that it wasn't functional it just wasn't right and look off... I also polished up the tail light lenses and replace the clearance light with the Trucklite LED ones.

I need to find a tire for my spare.

Spanky,
Where did you source your connectors? Mine are all cracked like that too. Did you just replace the rubber cover, or the connector and everything?

I got them from Big Mike's motor pool. They are easy to find if you search for "Packard connectors" I saw them on ebay and amazon as well as the electronic supplies places. You can also look them up with the MS number... I used 14 gauge connectors. Link below.

You have to cut the terminal off of the male connectors . I slide back the shell and the plastic sleeve and cut the wire as close to the terminal as I can. You only loose about a 1/4" of wire. I then slide off the old and slide the new shell and sleeve on. You can see the 2nd picture above.

The female connectors are easy. I cut the shell of the wire leaving the terminal alone. I use rubbing alcohol as a lube and insert the terminal in the new connector.

Link to MS and NSN. This is also a good place to tell you what they consider a male and female connectors. You don't want to assume genders here.

This is the tool I used to crimp the terminal on the male connectors. This will not work for the male connectors. Remember not to assume genders with the connectors.

Thank you for this. I’ll check out big mikes. I’ll probably need a few dozen of them as all of mine are shot.
