Just found out today that the radiator that I pulled from the 76 is not repairable and the new one that I bought new has been damaged in storage so now I am going another route. Ordered one for a Case MX100 tractor off of fleabay, Looks like I can make it work.
Please take pictures if you find that this mod works! It might help others.

Finished the alternator bracket. I wish there was a 24 hour hardware store around. Need some 1 inch long 7/16 bolts and lock washers.20191029_211128.jpg

G'day everyone,....

Just came back in from giving my Deuce a once over by torchlight,....

Yeah, its night time here as I type this.

I haven't moved the Deuce since I parked it when I got back from Cruiserkhana,...

I did notice the left hand vented shield in the wheel arch isn't bolted down along the bottom,.. explains a rattling vibration I have had.

Also the left side of the engine between the oil filter canisters is wet and seems to have run down the side of the engine, not a lot, just enough to wet it a little.

Nothing I am concerned about but I will spray some degreaser on it and hose it off, I just like a clean engine bay,.....

I also found the bolts holding the rear mud guard on have come loose and will need tightening,....

And here is a strange thing, there are some strange brackets on the back side, I'll take some pics tomorrow, one even has a circular cup?

Not sure what the bracket is for but I am sure wiser minds will let me know.

I just need to give my Deuce a good sweep out and a little TLC, The other day I renewed its club rego so I am good to go for another year!

Thought that fit nicely! For some reason it didn't attach?

I checked out the Deuce & took her to work today @ the Chemical Plant where I work. Since it is a homeland security facility, security was quite surprised when I drove up to the gate @ 05:00 wait to get in & get to work. They finally realized who I was & was no threat & let me in. That was a first as I have had the truck for over 5 years & been here many times.

You gave them some morning energy. Maybe made their day!

Mounted the alternator, had to run to NAPA for some longer belts. Just waiting on the radiator to get done. The guy was able to repair it after all. I guess all it took was a little criticism about it being his job. He said that he is semi retired and usually stays away from that kind of job. I will save the Case tractor radiator that I bought for a Cummins swap because the core is too thick and the radiator guard would have to be moved 2" forward and the hood hold downs modified. 20191101_145411.jpg

That's the bracket next to the support bracket.

On one side is a metal cup, I thought it might be a rubber bush or spacer but it is metal.

Its a separate item so not sure what its purpose is,...?

Anyone know?

I actually have no idea what that bracket is for.

But I've just got to add this: "It's there to make young troops ask questions..... Now carry on."

Hi, looked at your mystery bracket but I need a clarification on one of the pictures. Do the two parts I have marked with arrows align with each other? Is there a hole through the beam that links these two parts?

Each of those brackets are at the top of each mug guard support, the one with the cup is at the support on the outside and both face the same way, neither face each other.

And no, there isn't a hole as they are not connected.

And Nomad1, I have a A3 bed. (dropside).
