Finished cleaning, sanding, painting and mounted my 4 Jerry can holders on the bed side caps for my Fuel/Water Cans... Attached with 3/8" galvanized bolts, stainless washers, lock nuts and 2" Stainless fender washers with RTV on them to seal water/debris splashes up thru the mounting holes. They are solid as can be. I installed a 1/8" nylon spacer made at work between the can holders and bed caps to keep the metals from rubbing, squeaking and rusting in the future.

Don't pay attention to Chevy Cobalt wheels, just took them to be balanced.bcb1e665-38ac-4bcc-ba7c-5136ae781b18.jpg

In the past week I have swapped the old extended windshield wiper arms for new standard arms, installed brand new mirrors, fixed the air conditioning, serviced the battery terminals, bolted in one of the rear seats, got my speedometer working (it was just unplugged), fixed a headlight that was falling off, replaced serpentine belt, and started troubleshooting my temp gauge issues. Looks like I'm just going to need a new sending unit.

The original is a simple safety pin either rounded or square with a lanyard. Pins can be found at hardware or any parts store. I got some 1/8 stainless wire and ferules at home depot and made my own lanyard. You will need 2 of everything as the handle also has it own pin and lanyard.

Converting my M1152A1, serial #347XXX into M1165A1 GMVish.
First photo is day I picked it up from Albany Georgia. Following photos are today after M1114 hardtop is modified to fit, and aft bulkhead is fabricated to contain a new 3” ballistic glass window originally produced for MRAPs. Side rails and D-pillars also fabricated. Ibis Tek push out ballistic front windshield installed.69FF7AB1-FAA5-4278-B21B-EEBE44FEE54F.png7DB551B2-E428-452E-9BBE-C03DBFE8AACF.jpeg6121762A-13E2-475C-BBA5-705D50BC9170.jpeg4EED675B-5690-4406-892D-41B5FB7301A1.jpeg

Installed tire carrier lock bracket. Still need to source Jack handle and lock lanyard pin.

Someone sent me a PM asking for a pic, you really do not need to "secure" it as the pressure from the lift jack will hold it in place and you can secure it with the nut, I also lock up the tool, this would be the first thing to "disappear"

I can assure you if it got "loose" no pin would save it, the weight of the tire/mount would make short work of any pin.

Very Cool. Where did you find the window?

I previously posted this photo of my doors a few months ago. Doors are 1/2” thick aluminum (2 slabs of 1/4” bonded together). 400% thicker than the 1/8” thick aluminum doors offered by most other aftermarket fabricators. These doors are fabricated by “TwistedMetalwork.com”. My plan is to use stainless 18” continuous hinges due to heavy weight of doors.A520E9E5-51B0-48D8-9062-9BFB77B92180.jpeg
