No worries turbo. You'll get things squared away. I know about feeling under the gun. I only got 3 395 tires mounted on FMTV rims yesterday. I have don't have a soldier B to help out nor any lifting devices of anykind. Got 4 more to go.....I could hardly get out of bed this morning. I will endure and get the rest done today........somehow. Ibuprofen does wonders;-)

Kudos to you guys going it solo. I injured my back in Iraq in 2007, every once in awhile it acts up. There is no way I would attempt large singles solo. There are a few tricks that help sure but jeez.......wow guys.

Hey these really aren't too bad... The worst part about the whole thing is lifting the wheel and tire up when its flat on the ground and I imagine it wouldn't be so bad of my right arm wasn't broke (not a fracture, it just isn't working correctly thus being broke) as soon as I get one of them fancy giant slide hammer tools the tire guy had for the "really stubborn" tires I will be a tire swapping pro. Just don't ask me to do it again:???:

Yea I got a pretty junky goodyear with my purchase. I was only going to do the bare minimum for now.. Next week Ill get it mounted! After my back and arm feel better. Picking those tires up when the concrete is covered in soapy water is quite the workout. The tire is sliding around when it half way up, your feet are sliding. Stupid friends not coming to help me:mad:

Outstanding! I got all mine mounted today. My tires were sliding in the wet grass...LOL. I aired them all up tonight and will check air pressures in the morning. Hopefully I won't have any air leaks. If I'm good to go then I'll get them mounted on the truck Monday.

We are in the final stages of packing the truck and 5th wheel for the trip out there. Looks like we will depart here Thursday. If someone needs something hauled that won't be not too large from Momtana to Washington let me know. The price will be right. Free! It appears we have sold our home here and are looking to purchase possibly a class-c motor home and are looking to see what''s available? Any suggestions? When is the Arlington Fly-in? Thanks! elkhunter

Elk, the Arlington event is next weekend, but people were setting tents yesterday and there will be people on site all week. Looks to be a great event. Jeff and Bill High and the Puget Sound club have done a great job of laying the event out . People were already hauling vehicles in as well. Safe journey.

Thanks Amer-team! It was a lot of fun a couple of years ago. We are planning on going to it. elkhunter

Edit: I guess while I was doing a hunt and peck on my keyboard, I was beaten to the punch!

Sorry to thread jack but are any people coming to the Arlington Fly-In? We have started to move in and will be sleeping there for the next week starting today. We took a good load up yesterday and started setting up our display, Jane enjoyed cruising up there in her recently stolen HEMTT (stolen from me). Free admittance for green stuff and its occupants. You can camp with your vehicle and I promise there will be things there you have never seen in person before.

Well it looks like only Varyag & I are the only ones representing the Eastern portion of the Pacific North West (well except for Walt and the Montana Mountain Folk)

So if you are on the dry side of the PNW (WA, ID, Eastern OR) and are tempted to attend the PNW Rally, but do not want to drive it alone, or are just looking for a little motivation, PM me and join up with The Varyag contingent and I, as we convoy west.

We are meeting up at my place in Kennewick, on Thursday the 19th, with an 8AM departure on Friday Morning the 20th. Plenty of space to camping available.

In case you might like to join up with us along the way our route will be:

Old Inland Empire Hwy, Benton City to Prosser,
Hwy 22 + 97, Prosser to Union Gap,
I-82, Union Gap to Yakima,
Lunch somewhere around Yakima TBD
Hwy 12, Yakima to Napavine.
Afternoon arrival on the 20th in Napavine.
