I found that with on mine, with the base maybe 1/4" from the tailgate, I could pick up a deuce bed (perpendicular) and it would almost hang without touching the tailgate.Hi Clinto, And I did install it almost right up to the end of the bed. I think I have about 3" left . Well, I do hope to be able to hoist a 803A generator with it.
