Installing Dynamat to mitigate road noise. Also installing 1/2” solid foam insulation and 1/4” rubber matting. Sourced 4’x8’ insulation from Lowe’s, rubber matting in a roll from Tractor Supply. Have used the 1/4” rubber for many applications throughout the Humvee build. Ordered 72 sf of Dynamat on EBay. More than half used for the rear passenger area.

Great idea to add the additional 2 center braces. Down here in the sub tropics it constantly makes a great puddle and depending on the angle, I have gotten drenched with the driver window open taking off.....
Did you also tap the bows and used screws?
Where did you find the braces?

I noticed that when I got my M1165 - why is there only one bar? I've been loosely looking for a few more since.

OE kits only use one center bar and the bows are only taped/rivet nuts for one brace.

I saw this pic and said duh, why I had not thought or done this before as I can't tell ya how many times I had water slosh forward and shower me till drained off....
search 12342314 2540-01-337-0242 on Ebay. That seller is very resonable on cost and shipping.

I found the other ones on ebay from a private seller, They do make a huge different. I Used large pop rivets so they sit flush, can drill them out anytime

i just personally haven’t seen AC15G’s in years, maybe they are back in production, the Govt doesn’t use them, OEM plugs are made by Wellman.
There is a new plug out now made in Germany for GEP, HPG sells them, part no. GEP18002668-8
So I ordered new glow plugs from HPG and they arrived today.

Concerns:
- They arrived all together in a sack.
- They don't look very "new"
- Some of the wrench flats are rough like a wrench slipped
- Some of the plating is coming off

Pros:
- They are all 3/8ths
- They all test between 2.0 and 2.5 ohms

Thoughts?
