the plan is so repower it with a LSX and i have this silverado ss that has been beat to death over the last 20 years i owned it.

new custom 24 volt alternator. i will run both a 12 and 24 volt system. Looking into batteries next

I spoke to them and if anyone wants a 24 volt alternative for a lsx swap they can use this link

Mock up motor coming along. Built LSX should easily hit 500hp 450tq

Have to ask the obvious question,
is the transmission, transfer case, driveshafts, differentials and axles going
to be Upgraded (a lot?) to be able to harness this power?

I'm not sure what trans/transfer he is going to use but I have been beating on a 7/10K drive train (diffs/axles) 2.56 gears with over 400HP and well over 700ftlb of torque without being able to break anything, just turned 17K on the conversion
I am assuming he is starting with a 12k truck with 2.73 gears which that LSX should be pretty happy with depending on the final transmission ratio.
That thing should be a blast!!! Just remember any time you bust the rears loose it will try to swap ends!!

no idea on gears ect. it's a 2001 and hasne't been shipped yet.

4l80 off a silverado getting a full build.
level 5 or black not sure what this builder will call it.
I am working on motor, dash, gauges and center console before it gets here. Wiring harness next. I want a perfect new wiring harness. everything motorsports quality.
