new custom 24 volt alternator. i will run both a 12 and 24 volt system. Looking into batteries next

I'm not sure what trans/transfer he is going to use but I have been beating on a 7/10K drive train (diffs/axles) 2.56 gears with over 400HP and well over 700ftlb of torque without being able to break anything, just turned 17K on the conversionHave to ask the obvious question,
is the transmission, transfer case, driveshafts, differentials and axles going
to be Upgraded (a lot?) to be able to harness this power?

I am assuming he is starting with a 12k truck with 2.73 gears which that LSX should be pretty happy with depending on the final transmission ratio.
That thing should be a blast!!! Just remember any time you bust the rears loose it will try to swap ends!!
I always start with a Basic or A1 truck as with the 4.97:1 final ratio on those trucks is more desirable than the 5.24:1 the 2:73 gears give IMHOno idea on gears ect. it's a 2001 and hasne't been shipped yet.
