Took the truck to Hidden Falls Adventure park, what a beast, got to use the brake modulation technique.

On a different note, has anyone done business with ComTac? I bought a voltage regulator and 2 air filters among other things and got a used rather than new regulator that had clearly been spray painted black and only one filter. Bummed but I'm waiting to see how they resolve this, wanted to see if this was a common occurrence. Will update this post when I find out. Also, if you returned your used regulator to ComTac spray painted black to act as if was new... shame!
ComTac, Wolfer…all the same Chicomm knock off junk sold under the auspices of NOS…

Did a sacrilege here, but all for a good cause.
A couple of months ago i bought a 1097A2 running but the hood was missing a chunk, after a long search for a M998 style hood to none available i decided to mount the M1114 hood and nose from my spare parts truck.
This truck is a gift to my brother and the combination he likes, extended nose with soft top.

you're a nice brother, or he is
Man, he is 9 years older than me and has always looked out for me. Most of what i have done and accomplished in life i owed to him. I am in this beautiful and amazing country, thanks to him. Is just a fraction what i am doing. So, he is not only a nice brother, he is amazing!!!

I hope that is the DOT approved material? I like the idea of getting the tint.

For that cost, you could get a pair shipped to you that have the DOT stamp, and are bullet resistant... I needed to replace one, but did both, and am very happy with them. My original window fell victim to a shooting practice before the truck was sold on GP. I wonder if that was an approved exercise on the part of the Marines?View attachment 932784

They (Comtac) did quickly respond to my email, got a new shipment same day and shipped the correct parts, glad they made it right.

I've been Frankensteining parts from other trucks onto my M1114. So far the windshield, snorkel and tailgate are from a M1123 and the rear door blanks and soon to be mounted 2-man soft top are from a M1097.

Still need to deal with the swiss cheese holes in the frame and I need to source mirrors. Maybe paint? I kinda like the mismatch of colors.
