Polaris MRZR-D4

Based on drive belt number 3211193, the following belts should be compatible with the MRZR-D4: Gates 36G4246, 36C4246, 36R4246, Dayco XTX228, Sixity belts compatible with the aforementioned belts, and maybe others that I'm not aware of. It's that correct? I've been trying to order Polaris belt # 3211225 through Amazon, but the seller keeps sending belt number 3211148.

Where are you finding that 3211193 is compatible with the MRZR-D4? I was also under the impression that 3211225 was the appropriate belt.

As far as aftermarket belts go, there are some good ones and others that aren't so good. The general rule of thumb seems to be to stick with OEM belts.

The D4 uses belt 3211225, and it's used exclusively on 2017 through current MRZR D4's. As such, it's likely a controlled part and will not be available to you. I'm unable to cross it to an aftermarket belt, but you may be able to remove it and find something by searching for something with similar dimensions..

The diesel ranger belt (3211193) may work, but the only way to know is to try.

On the attached picture it said that belt 3211193 was replaced by belt 3211225. I got the picture from the Polaris site. I ordered the Gates belt, and as soon as I get it I’ll do a side by side comparison.

Finally got my hands on an MRZR-D4 and man is it fun. I had originally intended to strip it all down and restore it, but I think I'm going to leave it as-is. It looks like honest wear without signs of any real abuse.

After checking fluid levels and the belt/clutch conditions, I took it and had a little bit of fun with it. Everything runs great, but the shocks definitely need to be rebuilt. I've thought about respringing them myself, but I know that the right answer is to have them rebuilt.

The 28" tires aren't bad, but I've given some thought to stepping up to the 30" or even 32" version of the stock BFG tire. Has anybody played around with a slightly bigger tire?

I can get if it's not a discontinued part. I believe the 2017's used a metal guard, part 1023088-329. Might have to be updated to the plastic guard on the 2018-up.

I'm hoping this is something that won't be difficult to replace.

Yup. I looked into it for someone else at one point, and the proper axles are mrzr only. I can get them, but they're expensive. Can't remember what the fellow ended up doing

Well, I've got the axle out. The inner CV is actually fine - the outer CV definitely grenaded though. The axle shaft and boot are fine though.

Like you said, the axles are available outside the US and they're not cheap. I'm off to the local power sports parts counter with the spindle, inner race, a tape measure and dial calipers. Maybe I'll get lucky and an existing Polaris axle will be of a similar size and spline count that I could dissect and transplant parts to make this one functional again.

Steve, I see where you previously had mentioned that RZR900 brake pads are appropriate for the MRZR - do you have a gasser or diesel? I just want to make sure before ordering anything. I've created a spreadsheet of part numbers for the MRZR and where they're cross compatible with commercially available items, so I'd like to make sure I have the right pads listed.

On another note, with the help of a RZR group on FB, someone swore that the SuperATV Rhino2.0 CV joint was of the correct diameter and spline count - turns out it's not, so I'll be returning this one.

Someone else suggested reaching out to East Lake Axles near Tampa, FL. I had a lengthy call with them today and they swore that a diesel Ranger axle would be appropriate. I'm not sure, the pics sure look similar enough to the factory axle, so I'll give it a try. The spline count and length seems right. I'll let everyone know how it goes once it gets here Wednesday.


While I had things apart, I noted that one of the radius rods was bent. A few minutes with a heavy vise and a cheaper pipe had it straightened back out.


The as-issued mirror that came with mine was also cracked all over, while the mount for the mirror below off of Amazon isn't correct, the mirror itself is a direct replacement.
