Snarky, We have used the "insulator" from Spruce in our Piper Aztecs. That combined with metalized tape worked wonders for both temperture and noise levels. We covered the entire inner skin of the cabin. Never thought about using it for the deuce, I actually have a spare roll, hmmmmm...

I think it has to do with the model year. My '66 had low mounted lights. I belive they changed them to the high mounted a couple of years later. Greg

Ive used a piece of rope in mine. Has worked for years. When I was looking for one, no one had any. Called a business that made tops and they turned me onto the rope trick.

Tie, I had the same problem with my soft top, but the hard plastic channel that rides in the windshield frame was trashed too. One of the guys on SS had removed the hard plastic completey and used a piece of rope and an adhesive called pliobond and made an envelope for the rope and glued it...
