Do we have an official Bobbed Deuce picture thread? If not, here it is! Post em!

SO, Call me crazy but Although I love the look of the Deuce, the cab is a bit too slim for fitting much in there in the way of gear for camping and such. I had the idea (again, crazy, I know) to widen the cab at the front to be almost as wide as the fenders - then run it back into a double cab -...

    M1083 & Gichner S280 Overland Expedition Build

Hey there - Great build! A cautionary note on those batteries though - they off gas and need venting to exterior - Hydrogen Sulfide gas if I remember correctly. A year or so back I bought a bunch of RV tanks, fitiings, toilet, heater, water heater etc from a local RV'er - hoping to do a similar...

Has anyone ever just put a camper shell on a deuce instead of modifying a M109?

Ive been thinking about this idea myself for many years. Great concept. I hsd the idea turn into a slightly different business model andd ended up buying a transit bus and converting it into my new business. During the build I had to cut out the entire side of the bus and then remove and cover...

    Extreme RV from M36a2

You could always make up a quick double-wall heat shiels out of a couple pieces of muffler pipe - if you stopped by a shop I bet they'd give you a few short pieces for nothing... - Good idea being safe than sorry, your safety is paramount.

    Chevy/Ford Body on deuce frame??

I had this same thought because I wanted much more room in the cab for people and gear. The Deuce cab is pretty skinny and the other cabs - like the Kodiak 45,5500 and such - use the whole width of the cab. Plus, I REALLY like the look of the 4 door ones a lot of municipalities are using. You...

    Nylon Radiator Fan?

Maybe it would be feasible to install the electric fan and some sort of a battery backup on a switch for it so you could flip the switch and run it off the spare battery - which would also give you access to more juice if you really needed it for other things (as some others have done).
