    Red's deuce/camper project

Compressor is an easy fix and not that expensive. It is most likely a valve not seating due to a broken spring. Replace then take old one apart fix and sell or swap and sell. Just to let you know " It never ends". Almost as bad as a boat.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Turned the heat on. My boy started right up with a spirt of starting fluid. Drove around the yard a little. Waited for school bus sitting in him since so cold. Some ice in the governor but melted out and air built up. I need to work on the sheet metal. Both fenders got bent up and both mirrors...

Throughout history, those in power will take advantage. Good example are the Nevada officers confinscasing cash from travelers and not giving a receipt! They are instructed to do so. My mud truck build bad 395/85/20 tires?

To bad. I had 6 MRAP Rims in Dallas 6 months ago I would have given to you. I hauled back to NJ with the rest of my junk. I like the 395. Pea shooters adapter work well. You will need new lug nuts for rear. You should change the rears lug nuts to fronts now that you are singed out. Question...

    Red's deuce/camper project

I have not weighed it. It is a guess based on being on the trailer. It is solid with steel brackets, stainless full length hinges. We use a loader to raise and hold the roof section. It is more than two people can handle. Plus I do not know how wet the inside of the panels are. The bottom is not...

    Red's deuce/camper project

I have that shelter. It is cool and will make a great camper. It fits into the bed but you can't open. Your winch is to small. This shelter weight is close to 8,000 pounds. I tried double line 5,000 winch and no go.

    Red's deuce/camper project

Just my 2 cents but why not bolt winch mount to sides of frame? I was always told not to drill into the top or bottom of frame except in the very front or rear where stress is minimal. I have broken truck frames and I know the Deuces frame is not that great. Tons of frame flex.

    Adding PTO winch

I pieced my pto winch together. Only used parts are brackets and linkage. Cost 1,300. Installed myself. Hardest part after finding all of the parts was removing the bumper bolts. If you keep an eye on the SS classifieds you can get good deals. Another source for hard parts is Teds Trucks. Be...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Cold weather prep. Turn heater water on, check coolant level and freeze point. Add one quart of cool it to radiator which helps to minimize cavitation and lowers operating temp. Check all fluid levels. Check tires. Close all cab openings. Include blanket in breakdown kit. Be sure all safety gear...

    why bob

My deuce has rust. Like all deuces. I have been told to drive it, patch it but do not try to repair. Now I got lucky buying Brute for $1,500. Previous owners had seriously neglected him. Stuck him. Left him. How do I know 3 tires flat, full of sand. Brakes, wheel bearings, front axle full too. A...
