Mine did the same thing. You would hear a series of clicks but the light would not go off. I am glad it was an easy fix after all was said and done. You might trying to clean and then plug back the connections. It might be worth a try.
Much like many other members here my M923 ABS light was on constantly. I had been checking the system and reading the TM's. I found the 2B cable was disconnected. After several attempts to get it to snap together it finally clicked together. So I went through the entire system and cleaned and...
Oh and by the way, I was able to get the best DEAL!!! on insurance from USAA. I called and called and called around trying to get insurance. I got quotes from the $900 to $2400 dollar range. USAA got me covered via progressive for about 40 dollars a month. I also can use the truck to haul...
oil & filter change done, trans fluid swaped to Dextron III wtih a new filter as well, wiring for the 24 volt to 12 volt 30 amp converter installed. i will get pics tonight. i will have a toggle switch on the drivers side of the seat/battery box that will turn the system on and off. that is also...
Here is "BIG MIKE". Went over all the 10 level checks. So far we are good. 38 degrees here this morning and he started without turning over more than 3 seconds. I was counting!!! This is by far the best military vehicle I have ever owned. Oil change, trans fluid swap to dextron III and a spinn...
I am In the 5 ton family now. I got a pretty sweet M923A1 today. Went for a nice spin and got to know the truck a bit. It shifts out nice (a lot like a M985 I drove when I was in 6/27). It fired up even though it was below 32 with no problem. GREAT BREAKS!!! I got to get into the -10 and -20...
time to update the post a bit. I have a new carb installed on the jeep 258 2 bbl manifold, as well as a HEI distributor. you can see in the corner of one pic i have taken out the old heater and am preping to put in a NOS military jeep heater. have not had time to fix the doors but will before...
that is my goal. going to call it desert mail call. going to use the numbers on the back at the top of the roof and on the sides of the the hood. going to be rapco tan. going to keep a full rear bumper but put shackles on the frame. the rear door will get a spare tire mount and i will find...
the m151 mutt doors are too short. the m151 has a lip at the floor board that the dj5 does not. i could put in a panel at the bottom to match but it would make it difficult to get into the jeep. its taller to the floor now . i had looked at that but the hmmwv doors are a closer fit due to the...
yep doors were one of the big problems i had. now i think i may have that solved. i have decided to keep it left hand drive so that makes the list shorter to finishing the project. i will be trying to find a 1/4 ton trailer when i get done but that is a while down the road. trying to decide...
here is a little cut and paste i did to see about how the hmmwv doors might look. as you can see they bottom will have to be altered however i think that is not going to be to hard.
my plan is to run 235-85 r16's they are tall and narrow they are aprox. 31.5 inches tall but only about 8 inches wide. the wheels and tires you see on the jeep now are ones i got off a ford 3/4 ton on the ranch just because the little tires looked odd. i do believe that the 235/85 are similar in...
