Was this type or similar swing out type of condenser mount for a helmet top supplied by red dot, or were they fabbed up? Not wild about mounting it up top where it will get drug thru tree limbs etc.

Manuals are available for download here in the Present Conflict Vehicle TMs forum. You must have the 3 way light switch in Service Drive or Stop Light positions for horn to work (don't want to accidentally give away your postilion) Horn is mounted behind front bumper under the truck.

I like the helmet top. No compartments in this one and working on adding ply inside with mounting points for equipment on sides and roof

Replaced std doghouse with turbo doghouse, added foot extensions to radio tray to fit turbo doghouse, and added a pair of fans. Plan is to fit a couple extra layers of Dynamat in turbo doghouse and see if it quiets things down any.

Finally got chance to work through it and found the battery terminal on the + side of the front battery would not tighten as far as it should causing a poor connection. It was tight on the battery, but lead wire was not making good connection all the time. Replaced it and now seems to be back...

Yes, I have a 'Those Military Guys' battery disconnect wired to disconnect the ground. Later added the 12v tap, but a relay there might be a good idea so it does not act as a ground for the front battery. Main problem is alternator working then randomly not working. Raining cats and dogs here...

Yes, definitely off a hmmwv, saw the unit one of them came from. Unfortunately, not all of the mount is still there so would need to come up with or build mounting kit. Thanks for the info juanprado!

Have an opportunity to pick up a used Ramsey RE12000 24v pulled from a HMMWV. Done a few searches and I don't seem to find this winch mentioned much - is there a reason for that? Problems with it or just rare or ? Are mounts available for this unit for an M998?
