I am looking to get a price on having a M129A2C Trailer hauled from Fort Riley Kansas, 66442 to Branchville, NJ 07826. I am unsure of what the condition of the trailer is in as far as roadworthy.
I would think the key is Almost cut off his toes. Imagine if he dropped it on his toes with out steel toe boots. He probably would have squished them to nothing. Its takes more force to bend steel then it does to crush flesh and bones.
Do a search here for the trailer idea. Someone a while back started a project exactly like this. I don't think it got completed but there was some good disscusion on it. Try here---- http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?92474-Deuce-trailer-build-thread&highlight=
I second acesneights1. Por15 is a waste in my opinion. used it on two trucks and in less than a year half to 3/4 fell off. I prepped everything the way Por15 instructed to the "T". I then stripped it all down and sprayed Rustoleum on with an HVLP gun and 3-5 years latter still looks as the...
Rhurey JaTonka makes some real nice cold weather fronts for the M939 series. He also has all the hardware to hold it on. I am sure yours does the job just figured I would mention in case you wanted to keep the military look.
Just use a standard Rubber snap in valve. Rubber snap-in valves are available to fit either .453" or .625" diameter holes in the rim and have effective lengths ranging from 7/8" to 2-1/2". Or you can use the bolt in ones.
There is no way that you should be driving this vehicle yet. First off there is no such thing as an m813 duece. Since you can't figure out the proper name for the vehicle or what proper documents are needed to opperate your new vehicle on the road please have it transported. So many things...
The only problem I see with this is that water reeks havoc on clutch packs. I had a trans that was in a flood. When I contacted my trans guy he asked if a started it at all. Then he said if it has not been started then just drain and refill. But if it has been started it is done and will need...
Have the brakes been serviced and all moving marts lubed. Sounds to me like lack of lubrication from the truck sitting and corosion building up on parts that are suppose to move.
Is there anyone coming up from the Frederick Maryland area that can haul a flatbed from a F350 truck to the show. It is 85" wide by 105 long all steel construction. The seller has a way to load it.
I think this was the post that got thee two of us going. Upon reading it a few times I see now that you were poking fun at yourself. When read quickly it seems like a wise a.. remark of like; Yea that was an easy assumption and I already new that.
Sorry for jumping so quick. But please...
