Besides the advice on the starter above I don't see what it would hurt to put a breaker bar on the crankshaft damper bolt and see what happens. I play with old tractors a lot and if you can get it moving by hand normally you should be good to go.

Not trying to highjack this thread but Joe can you take some pics of the Velcro seal you did. I drove my truck the other day on a test drive with the hood off and I swear it was not as noisy with the hood on.

On the 12 bolts I had the holes, which are about 1/2 inch, just line up. One hole on each half. I bought new orings and used oring lube on them. No leaks.

Looks good. I ran those Guard Dogs for a while before I went to 17 inch wheels. I really liked them. I ran them with no beadlocks on 12 bolts.
