I always try and put the straps/chains ONLY on the axles as the suspension can compress from a bump/wreck other problem and the chains/straps can and probably will come undone. I try to NEVER hook to the frame. :deadhorse:

Replace your king pin springs and bushings and your steering stabilizer. Inspect a tie rod ends ,wheels bearing and drag link ends.

That is a bad thing to do because if there is rust in the caliper you just pushed it all back in to the top of the brake system. Really bad for ABS equipped vehicles. It is better to replace the caliper or remove the hose if you are going to reset the piston.

These should be all you need unless hummv are special.

Those trucks have a unpdated trans which is a 4L80E IIRC. There is a gasket on the the trans to t case adapter and a seal on the input shaft of the t case.
