    M1114 w/ Soft Top?

What's odd about this is these sold complete up until just a few weeks ago. Now all roofs are being pulled as well as slant backs. Its a shame really.

What is the highest mileage hmmwv anyone has encountered

What is the highest mileage hmmwv anyone has encountered? I'm curious as to the life expectancy of the hmmwv with the 4 speed 4l80e with the 6.5 NA engine specifically.

Maybe they're easily accessed with a lift or a long needle nosed pliers but otherwise they were a pain in the hind parts to get out. 😉

Bringing back to life a 2009 HMMWV M1165A1 from GovPlanet - total newbie, please help...

Not easy to tell from this drawing but I believe so. The check valves are on the passenger side in the rear of the truck on the fuel lines attached to the body of the truck above the frame rails. See encircled area.

These are the check valves once they are removed. They are NOT fun to get out but it is doable.

Bringing back to life a 2009 HMMWV M1165A1 from GovPlanet - total newbie, please help...

The issue is most likely your check valves at the rear passenger side of the truck. They are 2 brass fittings in the fuel lines. Your problem is identical to what I was experiencing. Delete the check valves and run a hose between both sides where the valve used to live. Use the existing clamps...

Is the m1114 the 'red haired step child' of the hmmwv family?

Are the chassis the same as the A2 trucks or the 11 series trucks?

Is the m1114 the 'red haired step child' of the hmmwv family?

The sponsons appear to be the same as the m1045a2 but different than the 11 series ecv trucks. Also, I believe the chassis are different. I believe the 1152, 65, 51, and 67s are the heavier chassis.

Is the m1114 the 'red haired step child' of the hmmwv family?

Why does it seem as though the m1114 is the odd ball of the hmmwv family. I've tried researching this model and it doesn't appear different from the performance specs of the 1151, 1165, 1167 etc. But the body is somewhat different from all models. It's like it tried to bridge the gap from the a2...

Does having a Turret add more value to the HMMWV? Turret owners... Could you live without it?

I could have sworn the aluminum 11XX roof was several inches wider than the 10XX trucks as they are ECV series trucks. And thus the wider roof would create gaps in the door fitment.

Does having a Turret add more value to the HMMWV? Turret owners... Could you live without it?

Will the 11XX Roof fit the A2 Truck? Is the 11XX Turret better than the A2 Turret?

Does having a Turret add more value to the HMMWV? Turret owners... Could you live without it?

It seems cheaper to go with the 11XX roof if it will fit, likely wont. The 11XX turret setups don't require a turret support. It would seem the better choice. Are the 11XX turret parts as hard to find as the A2 turret parts?

Does having a Turret add more value to the HMMWV? Turret owners... Could you live without it?

No turret support needed for the 1165 to my knowledge. I suppose the setup is completely different. It looks Great!!! Steve Did a GREAT Job!!! Congratulations!!!

$4k without brackets. Just the Support. No Hardware, No Turret, Nada.

Does having a Turret add more value to the HMMWV? Turret owners... Could you live without it?

I have FINALLY located a turret support. However, the price is so high, that I am forced to ask..... Is the juice worth the squeeze. I have an m1045A2. My favorite HMMWV and I am still giddy like a kid when I see my truck. :) I am aware of the issues with a turret leaking and believe I can...

Tunnel by emergency brake gets hot to the touch

Hello All, Just wanted to pose a question to the group. Took the truck out for the first time on an extended ride. About 40 miles one way on the freeway. The tunnel next to the emergency brake base got really warm (including the emergency brake), dare I say hot. Is this normal?
