I have heard some people install these by drilling through the floor of the truck and using GD-8 bolts, washers, & nuts without using a bracket. Not sure if thats a secure method of installing as its not making use of a bracket but I am open to feedback.

Just like Action said, they bend due to misuse or not being properly secured when driving. Ultimately, it's user error. Lol

I found the thrust washers but I can't find that small thick washer that makes contact with the brass thrust washer

A guy out here in SoCal had one. He has 1 more. Also 1 appeared today on Ebay. Both of these have a bent swivel pin. The guy out here in Cali has a replacement pin he'll give you with the tire carrier

They have satin and semi for clear nowadays so it doesnt result in a glossy finish.

The clear protects the paint from scratches better than without. Trying to get a little more protection from brush and light branches when I take it off pavement. Trying to keep the paint in decent condition as long as possible but I get your point.

I am in the process of painting my truck and I was shocked at the price of materials for paint. For decent, solvent based paint (Valspar) 2 Gallons of paint, primer, clear coat, reducer, hardener, etc. price points are coming in over 2k just for materials. We are in a different world today.

Does anyone have an idea just how many more Hmmwvs will be headed to auction? I saw a post earlier this week that the Marines are running out of Hmmwvs that are available to be sent for auction. I have no idea if this is true but I am curious as to how many more Hmmwvs will be auctioned off.
