i have found a studebaker US-6 the Studebaker version of the CCKW in Trevorton Pennsylvainna, that will be scraped December 31 if no one takes any action
i am going to check it out this weekend and see if i have the logistics to salvage it
are their any people that would be intrested in...
so many times the old jeeps are given wrong years and wrong models by their owners
my 53' M38-a1 was called a 1960-something cj-5 by the person i bought it from, so its always worth checking out
if you could post a photo of it we can identify it

just to clarify this m818 will be used as an over the road toy hauler
hauling a M3 scout car, M20 greyhound, M3 halftrack, and a couple jeeps, not all at one time though

has anyone ever blown an axel in a 818?
how easy are parts to get? as in getting staranded at a NAPA, side of the road, or truck repair center?
how hard are engine parts to get in a bad situation?
how reliable are they overall?
how well dose a drop deck trailer fit them?
