When I get my Deuce back, I want to go through the entire brake system and replace all the lines with SS braided lines, new fluid, and a MC rebuild kit and possibly new wheel cylinders. When I had it the first time, I noticed the MC was usually damp, and I had to top it off once in the 3 months...
I'm 21, and pay $35/mo. through Nationwide. Mine is registered as an Antique mainly so I don't have to get it inspected...which it would fail 9 times out of 10. I origonally bought it to tow my Bronco...I just ordered a hitch for it the other day. I'll have to re-read the DMV's Antique...
I plugged the supply line at the IP (that was a job trying to reach with 2 huge hands and 2 wrenches...) But I still need to plug the return line somehow. I'm thinking about just plugging the fitting (the male end that threads into the Tee) with JB weld :?: It might be a halfassed way of...
Well...I went down to the local Fastener place and all they had were 2 plugs for the manifold heater. They didn't have any to block off the port on the line that runs from the injector lines or to the other smaller line under the metal cover on the intake manifold. Anyone have any thread...
Thanks for the help guys. I'll go check it out right now. I have to use it to bring home some very large pallets that our new Palletizer at work came on. 4x4, 4x6, and 2x6 Oak boards about 10-12' long...
First off, the fuel leak. Sorry I don't have a picture...it's cold and dark outside. There is a small...whatever it's called thing sticking out of the tube to the intake directly above the turbo. There is a plastic line that runs from it, across to the injectors. Fuel is leaking out of the end...
Thanks for the tip. I think I'll keep these until they wear out. Tires are expensive, plus I will be going where I need a lot of traction (while towing), and I've heard the NDT's have horrible traction. The front tires have about 50-60% on them...so they will be the first to go.
The...
Well...after a couple years of lurking, I finally took the plunge and bought one from the classifieds here. 1968 M35A2. Came from the Army National Guard if I remember right. The white canvas top was made at a boat-yard out of vynal, and suprisingly fits very nice and looks near factory.
It's...
Maybe you can design something to mount the winch slightly below the radiator to save some "room" (overall length). Something like down 5" and back 5"...?
I load trucks at Coca-Cola, and a few weeks ago, a driver loaded a small sedan into the back of his empty trailer (he was dropping off Dasani Water for us). He said he bought it at an auction here in town, and needed to get it back to NC where he lives. That was definately a first for us
I'm going to have to disagree with you (not about their 'testing procedures', but about their strength). I have personally seen a Warn 8k winch lift a mid-'90's Jeep Cherokee off the ground. The Jeep was winching a truck from the front, and the rear was tied off to a tree. Yes, the Jeep was...
There are lots of people like this on message boards: They start a thread with ideas of what they want to do (which usually never happens due to cost, time restraints, or lack of knowledge (which circles back to the cost thing...if they can't do it they have to pay someone else to do it)), and...
Wow! I never realized ya'll had so many activities and events planned/offered. I tell ya what...IF I have a truck by then, and have a small convoy to join...I will do my best to attend. Fuel prices and work will be the limiting factor...Labor Day is pretty heavy for us (Coca-Cola)
