    Is this the right antenna?

You can use as many center sections as you want, I often rig up hf antennas this way. The number of section effectively changes the frequency the antenna works on.

Can you convert the M-80 mic to work with a CB?

Usually there is a ground and a ptt which when connected to ground causes the radio to key. The outgoing audio from the mic goes out one and shares the gnd. Sometimes there is receive audio, but that isn't needed here Figure out by using a small jumper to gnd which one causes it to key...

    R-442 with an AS-1729??

i use the same setup on mine and although RX isnt as critical on length and matching as TX its still very important. i recommend just rotating manually the tuning knob on the bottom of the MX6707 to the range the R-442 is on, you will find much greater sensitivity on the radio. its amazing how...

    VIC 1 in the M37

i spend so much time hacking on the Vic1 and related stuff that i have a whole second setup (AM-1780, C-2298, RT524, civi radios) on my workbench with cables routed around tool boxes to power supplies etc. The line running to the civi radio was laying against a 110v power line picking up noise...

    VIC 1 in the M37

Yea i did some tests last night on that, i posted the basic diagram on my wiki, not a solution though.. it seems that the mute circuit isn't being activated, not sure if its due to low voltage (12 instead of 24) but i cant really test that just now.. ill have to integrate one of my isolation...

there are several of us maintaining the wiki, and its a work in progress, so we try to keep everything going best we can...i will update the schematic. for your specific issue, you can always use the speaker test pins E and F, this will bypass all the internal circuits of the LS-671, and is...
