Don't mind me if I'm asking too many questions. It's my own way of showing that I am impressed with someone's work. I really like the setup you have on your truck and it's what I want to do with mine. Only I'm wanting to do a full length 4x4, instead of bobbing it.

Same here, I only do ANY kind of pulling in a forward gear. The driveline is not intended to take that kind of shock or wear in reverse.
That's why if I'm using my personal vehicle, I do everything myself if at all humanly possible.
My engine hoist just reaches in far enough. I used a similar method for an alignment tool, I used a standard deep well socket and a deep well impact socket (with some "shim tape"). It worked perfect.
If I do cut up my truck, this is how it's getting done. I didn't want to lose the bed space, but I would like to lose the extra axle. I don't do any heavy towing or hauling and the truck is in rough shape anyway.
Check coolant, oil and air filter. Put in new batteries, flush the fuel and see if she'll fire up. If it starts, shut it down and get her roadworthy again. At that point, it's worth saving... however, if it seems like there are major issues, it's a parts truck. Just my opinion.
