What a Deuce is made for, Especially a bobbed one.

^^^^^Are you freeking serious? The KKK? Have you actually seen KKK members? They hardly exist at all. I am 47 and lived in the south all my life except while in the army and I have never seen the clan. Get out of the 50's man. It's a new century. As for biggotry - it's everywhere North and...

    attempted theft

I prefer dogs. Locks and chains can be cut, but it's hard to get around 100 lbs. of flying fur and teeth.

Got me a Deuce for a 100 Dollars

Good find. The truck doesnt look all that bad - looks better than mine did when I got it. I restored mine and it's been treating me good ever since.

FINALLY got plates, and a cautionary tale.

Your radiator cap is probably worn out. The antifreeze is getting pushed past the seal as your running down the road at higher rpm's. You can get a new one at Napa.

No power EGT's up there HELP

With all that build up on the turbo, my first thought was that the valves are gummed up. Just a guess.

What is the best engine to have in a 76 deuce?

Someone on this forum has put in a Detroit. I dont remember if it was a 6v or an 8v, but he did it. Do a little searching and maybe you can find it. I use to have a 8v silver 92 in a commercial truck - loved that engine.:)

How many miles is an M35A2 and A3 good for?

I like the way people keep bringing up mileage figures from the Vietnam war.:( Any info a little more current than 40 years old? I am sure the engine design has been tweeked and also oil is a lot better now days also. Back in the 60's and 70's no engine lasted as long as they do today. I would...

    Another misadventure in the Deuce!!

I have been trucking for a lot of years and it may be me, but if I am running a truck all day long I drain the water from the tanks every few hours.

    Another misadventure in the Deuce!!

I bought a good take off hh for $100.00. So it's not an expensive fix. However if you do replace the entire pump it is more money and a bigger pain in the rear.

    Another misadventure in the Deuce!!

I would just change out the head. It's alot easier. Why is it leaking?

Thinking of modifying a deuce tanker to a septic truck..Thoughts?

All the septice tank trucks that I have seen are large. I would put a tank on a 5 ton not a Duece. And yeh you can crush a water tank with vacuum. They have to be vented or the pump can crush them like a soda can. I saw this happen with a large semi truck tanker.

    New Snorkel

Looks okay to me. I think you'll need to support it some how. A few good bumps and that thing will probably whip around pretty good. Maybe lean it up against the mirror brakets and connect it somehow. Keep having fun with it.
