    Ft. Lewis M35A2 recovery

The EUC for my M35A2 cleared yesterday, and the recovery is planned for Tuesday. I will be driving from school (University of Idaho) to Ft. Lewis (Leg 1: http://tinyurl.com/4vnez6), get the truck running, and if all goes as planned, drive from Ft. Lewis, to Lopez Island (Leg 2...

    New Record!

Anywhere from a week to 90+ days. You'll know when your invoiced. First time EUC's apparantly take longer than subsequent ones.

Finally got my 818 after 3years hehe hope its a good one

Indeed, should be a fun trip to go pick them up. I think your 818 is too big for the trailer, might have to end up behind the duece ;)

    35's and No lift

I put BFG 32x11.5x15 MT's on my M1009. Looked good, and made it a lot better offroad. The only rubbing I noticed is when I had some extreme flex in the back on a hill, the tire would rub on the inner fender on the rear. Only happened once. IMHO, its a good size, looks stock, and no modification...

updated pics of my hemtt restoration

Nice truck. One of the best restoration jobs I've ever seen! I live up in the San Juan Islands, if its alright with you I would love to come take a look at your masterpiece sometime this summer.

    M1009 tranny

I second the vac pump could be the issue. In the 2 yrs I owned my M1009, I went through 2-3 junkyard pumps. They wouldn't produce enough vac, and cause very high shift points. The plastic modulator on the side of the IP can also get old and leak. First, as other have suggested, replace every...

    $4 a gallon!

$4.29 in Colfax, Wa. Haven't seen anyone with diesel for under $4 around here.

    Value of Truck (M35A2)

Just spoke with the owner, he said when you stop, and try to get it out of 2nd, or put it into 2nd for a 2nd gear start from a stop, its hard. The truck came from alaska, so it has the fuel fired cab heater, etc. Owner also stated the generator was disconnected because it was over-charging or...

    M135 Parts Truck

I have a M135 parts truck. It pretty much has everything intact besides the winch, and air lines, gladhands, instrument panel, fiberglass top, exaust stack. The body is pretty rusted, it was at a marina. I would say the drivetrain is the most useful bit of it. It has a good engine, and...

    Value of Truck (M35A2)

DanMartin: If I had the money, I would buy a truck from IMP. Personally, I think $6500 is a bit much for a non winch M35A2. I could see that much for a turn key operation with a winch. I know IMP used to have trucks for ~$4500, not sure what happened to that. Guess costs for everything are going...

    Value of Truck (M35A2)

DanMartin: Thanks, I've been in contact with Joey, last I heard he was replacing a differential, I'll have to get back to him on the status of that. I've looked at Idaho Motor Pool, definately a nice lot of trucks, but a bit out of my price range.

    Value of Truck (M35A2)

1917: Thanks for the offer, but your a bit too far :/ If I wasn't in college, and diesel wasn't almost $4 a gallon, I would be tempted to head out there and drive back, but I need to try and find something more local (Seattle area). ptq530c: Do you know what would cause such an issue...

    Value of Truck (M35A2)

There are some nice looking trucks at Lewis, but unless its just a "put new filters, fluids and battery" operation, I don't think I have the resources to snag a truck there. I posted in the Loadout/Inspection forum about the trucks there, but so far no replies.

    Value of Truck (M35A2)

Google maps puts it at just under 100 miles and 2 ferry rides from my house. Also, there is no way I will pay 6k for it. I know with those problems its worth a lot less. If he is correct on the work that needs done, just the parts costs are adding up quickly!

    Value of Truck (M35A2)

Hello all, I have been looking to buy a M35A2 for a while. I had a M211 a few years ago, but I sold it to one day buy a M35A2 ( I wanted a diesel truck, for many reasons). I am looking at a truck, with the following features/issues. Asking price is 6k. What I know about it so far... I have...

    Fort Lewis, WA Preview

Sorry for the cross post, didn't find this forum until after I posted in Conversations. Looking for a M35A2, saw that Ft. Lewis has a lot of 6 trucks ending in ~week. Has anyone looked at this lot? I'm currently south for Spring break, and live a ways from Lewis, so a bit hard for me to run...
