Go through and tighten all the fuel return lines between the injectors and if you have a flame heater, tighten all those lines too. I did that on my last truck and it solved the problem. My current truck needed new o-rings in the flame heater nozzle, it helped but the o-rings arent the correct...
I ran 2x4's under the top (between the truck and top) with eye bolts in the 2x4's and some chains to lift it off. The top itself is pretty thin in areas and would probably break. It was pretty heavy doing it by myself.
What about registering it with your name and his name. Example: John Hancock or Joe Hancock. In Ca with using the "or" part, only one person is needed to release interest in the vehicle when you go to sell it, if it says "and" then both people need to release interest in the vehicle. Thats how...
Yes it was a great day! Got a bunch of stuff I dont need as usual. Figured out my fuel milage and its only a hair over 9mpg. I was expecting better but was running at the max rpm most the way to and from. I got a wonderful surprise at the fuel station when I got back. The rear main I replaced...
I like the front mount but went the lazy route and mounted mine in the bed using an extra pintle hitch for the front of the towbar and one of the handles from the frame for the feet so I could chain it up.
Looks like we might not be so dry Sunday according to the weather report. Cant be too bad as its the peak of winter and I am still wearing shorts and a t shirt everyday, not to mention breaking a sweat while working. Sorry Mike, I had to rub it in:wink: Anyone want any of those jerry can...
I'll be happy to go where ever. Congrats on finishing the house Gary. Now you dont have any excuse not to make this trip! The only week that wont work for me is April 5th-11th, I'll be camping at the beach all week long:-D
Carpool for sure, I was planning on driving my truck if thats ok with you. I would like to see what kind of MPG's I get, plus I need the bed space for whatever junk I get.
If you throw the bigger 5 ton turbo on I think you will also need the elbow that connects the turbo to the intake manifold to match the diameter and to make the flame heater fit correctly with the bigger turbo. The outlet of the turbo is larger than the standard duece turbo. I think they flow...
I use a chain around the door handle and the grab handle with a padlock on the drivers side, the combat lock on the passenger side and the standard chain through the steering wheel. It keeps the kids out but if someone is bent on stealing it, theres not much you can do. Cheap and easy.
I have heard that parts for them are harder and alot more expensive to get, top speed is lower than an A2, you probably wont be able to register it as historical, and the
CTIS can be problematic but they are very cool and I would love to have one. Just throwing a few other things to think...
On my last truck, I had an extra pyrometer probe that I installed in the elbow coming out of the turbo before entering the intake manifold. I had the probe hooked up to my digital multimeter that had a temperature setting. I measured over 200 degrees in the charge air temperature when going up...
