i guess the way i was thinking about it was running a section of plate on the inside of the C-channel, bolting it to hold it there while you run a couple full length beads down it to connect the frame rails as well as buzzing the actual joint.
well you probably don't need that much power! if you are looking to making a deuce a high performance vehicle, some 2" shafts, and some heavy duty drivelines.
yeah i knew it wouldn't have been easy or really worth it, but i had a feeling it was possible. it would really be easiest to get a 12 valve and be done with in terms of a deuce.
I have seen those. I was talking more about the cummins and alison trans combo that has been on craigslist for like a year.
2000 Cummins 5.9 Diesel Engine/Allison AT
that is true thanks for that.
i think a tire makes a little bit bigger foot print than that, especially when they are aired down.
to the original poster, i would think chains would be your best bet.
very true, it was a far stretch to compare it to a snow cat or any tracked vehicle, but do you agree that a lower psi can be achieved with a wider tire of the same, allowing the vehicle to not sink as much in snow?
i agree with everything that has been said here. When it comes to snow, a narrow foot print is fine if there is a good solid bottom underneath. if there isn't you will just sink. why does a snow cat have wide tracks? so that it can float on top of the snow. if there is a bottom to the snow...
that is what i thought about too. why not register it as a recreational vehicle? but online it looked like WA described a RV as a motor-home or similar.
I have read this a few times, and i think it makes the most sense.
WA State Licensing: Vehicles requiring a CDL
a deuce does not qualify for needing a cdl, but the 5-ton would as a combination and in gvw. sorry hammer.
