    m101a2 recovery

He will have to give us time to remove tarps and bows and side racks, otherwise no way we would be able to fit them all. That or we roll them up on the trailer by ourselves somehow. Will they let you in early to start the process of taking off the tarps, bows, racks?

    Making M101A2 street legal

I will be mounting a military connector to my suburban too so that I can remain "authentic" with the trailer and then get those LED's that run off 10-32 volts.

    m101a2 recovery

OP, did the GL guy load your trailer even though it isn't a flat bed? My pickup is Monday, so noboby run off with any of my stuff! Although, 1 of my trailers has a camo cover and the trailer is tan...I'd trade my camo cover for a tan one!

    bobbed deuce subberban style

That 5-ton is a photoshop job, but it is really, really cool and I'd like to have one if it was real! You'd probably want to do it on 5-ton axles and have troop seats down each side with selt buckles and then up armor it like a MRAP.

    M101 Dimensions Folded for Shipping

I pics 6 and 7 is that first trailer have anything removed off the rear to get it to stand up that high? I bought 4 m101a2 trailers and my recovery is coming up in a few days. I have access to a 18' car hauler for free...and maybe a 20' flat deck from a rental company. I had a tri-axle flat...

    m101a2 recovery

Web site says they will only load a flat bed, did you load that trailer yourself or did they load it up for you anyway? Just curious because I bought 4 the other day, and I might have to flip 2 over and stack them on top of each other and curious if they would do that for me or not. I had a...

    CUCV-II, South Florida Rebuild

Thanks, now it is actually making some sense! I have a reese hitch in the way of my rear bumper, so that is why it at first didn't look familiar. I definately have enough to go off of now.

    Scraped Gold

Well Matt, because of your thread it looks like my 818 will be saved from the scrapper! So that is 1 truck saved, good job!

    Scraped Gold

Truck has been listed on c-list for months, might not be on there right now though. Yes, I have a title. I have had at least 12 people tell me they want it, it has been listed at various prices $3500-2500...no one ever shows up! My plan was to sell all easy parts first, then see if...

    Scraped Gold

Here are pictures of my truck, just don't want to violate any rules...

    Scraped Gold

I know the truck can be fixed, but the thing is I can't really afford to keep it. It has been for sale on here as is for $2,500...which is a little less than I have into it for awhile now...no one wants it. I cough up another $200 in fuel and misc. stuff (already have 2 new fuel filters for...

    Swapping a 6.5 HMMWV into the m1008

You can do whatever you want, it is your truck! Sounds like your glow plugs are new, so go with them! Whatever you decide, certainly post progress pictures.

    Cucv ii

Well, I guess if I get them fabricated I can offer them for sale...potentially. Awhile back I thought I found something decent from a Canadian company, but they were very expensive and there was no pictures...

    CUCV-II, South Florida Rebuild

Your pictures are fine, maybe 1 directly under the rear bumper so I can see the entire length of the shakles? I have looked at them and for the life of me I can't figure out what I'm looking at!

    Scraped Gold

I have a running, not driving m818 that has been for sale for weeks in the classifieds...now I'm looking to part it out or sell it as is for $2,500...no one wants it. I will probably strip some usable parts off of it and scrap it myself. It is a shame, but I can't afford to keep it and about...

I would like to find the front mounts already made so that I don't have to fabricate them (or have friends fab them!) Have you ever been able to locate these?

    CUCV-II, South Florida Rebuild

The post with your pictures of the rear tow shackles don't make much sense to me. Could you post some description of what we are looking at? I appreciate all your posts. Also, have you found out much about the Heath Diesel ECM upgrade? I've installed his cold air intake and turbo master (my...

    Cucv ii

I believe earlier in the thread they were talking about the smaller holes for the black out lights, not the larger holes for cooling. Anyway, stonepicker or someone...do you have a few up close pictures of the front bumper area that you could post? I have a 1998 Suburban that I would like to...

    Swapping a 6.5 HMMWV into the m1008

Unless you know that the glow plugs are brand new, I'd just get new ones. They are easy to do while you have the engine out and much more difficult with the engine in. To do a side mount turbo wouldn't be a bad job, couldn't you just use your J code 6.2 heads (with 6.5 head gaskets) and go to...

    Back To The Bricks 2011

Travis, probably that Wednesday and Thursday I will participate in the cruise. If people were parking Thursday I might be able to do that, but Wed. is church for me. This cruise is a blast! I will have my 4 m101a2's by then as well! They don't pull behind the deuce so well though...
