My resistor isn't bad. I did the bypass to prevent future glow plug failures.

Because I'm certain they are old and junk already. No point, when I am already planning on changing them. Waiting on payday. Already have. I am aware. As I said, my glow plugs look pretty aged, and are most likely garbage. I can really test them but what's the point? If I had tons of cash...

I know, that's why I went ahead and did the mod, to preserve the remaining good plugs. But now that the system isn't getting the over-voltage it was likely getting before, it's not firing. At least that's my prognosis. Yes. I do that every morning.

Well, since I did the GP resistor bypass yesterday, I couldn't even get it started this morning (19 degrees). Kept turning over and over, not firing. It does take longer for the GPs to heat up, and I did hear that would happen, but I guess they're just not getting hot enough now? I cycled them...

Actually, mine looks swollen too. I should have pulled it off while I was replacing the radiator, but I didn't. Another thing to add to the list.
