The front axle will weigh in at about 14000lb. empty at least the m916's are. Do not know SC laws for weigh on front axle. Would be interesting to know the M917 works out.
The m146 trailer makes a very nice box in which to build a camper. I did a 3pt. mount for the box as I didn't want to twist it as the truck frame twists. You may want to stretch the truck wheelbase a little after you do a weight and balance depending on the interior.
The m989 tandum ammo trailer would be just about right. It has a gross weight of 29000 lbs and an empty weight of 7000 lbs leaving a deck usefull weight of 22000 lbs. I'm not referring to the M989A1 wagon type but its predecessor the M989
