    Glow plug burnout possible?

I just put a new filter on last week, the last time it did this. It has purred like a kitten since, until this. I'll have to try the fuel screw thing, and hope that will work until some of this snow goes away and I can take a good look at the lines.

    Glow plug burnout possible?

The plugs were good as of a couple weeks ago, and if I test them and they're still good I'm at a loss. This is the third time in as many weeks that I've had a problem like this, and I don't know what's causing it anymore. It will start off as the truck cranking and cranking and not going. I'll...

    Glow plug burnout possible?

I recently took a week off, and left my M1009 in the trust of my dad, parked at the shop. Apparently, the day before I got back he decided to move it, and in the cold weather thought it would be prudent to use what he called an "old army trick" to get it to start in the cold: a little gasoline...

How to get water out of fuel system?

I think my truck has water in the fuel, and as a result is in immediate need of a new filter. It started up and was running strong for a minute before stalling. How do I drain the fuel? Is it that big black screw-looking thing on the top of the filter base?

    What are those things

Could they be a culprit for weak wipers?

    What are those things

The three cylinder things to the left of the wiper motor, with the wires running through them and to the wiper motor? They look kind of like fusible links, but different. And, can these be the culprit if my wiper motor is brand new but seems to be seriously lacking power? It works, but it won't...

    Two starter questions.

I don't know for sure that it is or not, but it looks like there's only the one they have and if others have gotten it and say its gear reduction, I'd say it's probably gear reduction.

    Two starter questions.

I just got around to installing my new starter, ordered from Nations auto elec., but my truck did not have the bracket on the back. I plan on grabbing one just to be safe, and putting it on. However, even with my small hands I had a hell of a time removing the old starter and installing the new...

    How long to charge 24v?

Mine is the same as this. Just start it and let it warm up a bit earlier, and then maybe give the engine a couple good revs before taking off. If you still have trouble, the alternators probably need to be checked out.

speedo issue. Stuff to give away. Ques???

I'd be interested in the antenna and radio brackets. As for the tailgate handle, you might have to take off the back panel and take a look. It's a pretty simple setup so it should be pretty easy to see what's wrong once you open it up. Oh, and as for the needle, I'm pretty sure mine does that...

    Combat Dash Lights

I need to get around to putting in some bulbs on mine, my speedo doesn't light up at all. The red looks great, I might have to go with those, or LED ones if I can find them :)

Argh! It won't start! Possibly fuel issue?

I fixed it, though I'm not sure exactly how. I mean, I know what I did, just not why it worked. I tested all the plugs and they checked out, checked the relay and it was good, didnt know how to test the relay, so I pulled a plug and verified that it heated up when the key was turned. Glow plugs...

Argh! It won't start! Possibly fuel issue?

I've tried cycling it, the last time around I cycled it six times and still no go. It is too warm now for gelling to be a possibility, so I'm thinking it's got to be the plugs. It took a LOT a lot of cranking to get it to kick over and belch those smoke clouds. And yes, I have been standing on...

Argh! It won't start! Possibly fuel issue?

I can hear the relay working (clunk.... clunk. Clunk..... clunk.), and it looks as if the card was recently replaced. I'll have to test the plugs tomorrow (looks like I have some reading to do on how to accomplish this... any ideas on what sort of places to look in locally for these plugs? I...

Argh! It won't start! Possibly fuel issue?

So I got up yesterday morning, and in the 15 degree morning, I couldn't get my truck to start. I cranked and crrrraaaanked and it wasnt too long before the battery died. So, I figured my truck was having cold issues, and called a tow truck. They tried jumping it, and the next 20 minutes were...

    Horn broken, watch for finger

I have no idea, none of the install even involved touching the steering column... I was going from the original horn wiring behind the grille.

    Horn broken, watch for finger

In the process of installing an aftermarket horn to my M1009, I seem to have done a bit of damage. I can get the horn to sound by running a wire straight to the battery, but it won't work when I hook it up to the horn button. All I get when I press the horn is a clicking sound from under the...
