    box liner for CUCV

Here is my 2cents I had one in my GMC pickup and didn't like it. Very slippery so nothing stays were you put it. Because of the rounded design in the corners and were the front and floor met I couldn't put a 8' piece of plywood or sheet rock in the bed and close the tailgate. If it were me I...

M1009 - Stripping it down to "bedline" the entire truck, inside and out

I was just going to post the same concern. One thing I would do sense you need to replace the windshield anyway would be to remove it and check the seam for any rust and correct as necessary and also check the cowl area for rust in the seam area. Now is the time to fix these areas.

Whats your thoughts on spin on primary and secondary fuel filters?

Here's my thoughts. If you have the funds I would at least get the primary adapter. For me it is the most changed filter because it is the first one the fuel goes through. It is worth it in my opinion just for the ease of changing it in a minute with no tools other than maybe a strap wrench...

    Inner rear axle seal

Very true. Especially when the GO gets hot and expands. General splashing, going around corners and side slopes will cause the GO to get to the hubs, it just was never designed to use the GO for bearing lubrication hence the basic design. It sure would have been better if they would have used...

    Inner rear axle seal

Under normal circumstances that would be true. The problem/difference with these axle assemblies is that the inner seals where never designed to hold in a fluid like GO. They where intended to keep out contaminants just like grease seals on a boat trailer or the front hub bearings on a CUCV...

    Finally got our Deuce!

Nice looking truck. A follow up to the "J" pipe rust be sure to check the elbow that comes off the turbo as they tend to rust on the back side where you won't normally see it.

Does anyone know anything about Mack DM6116S 6x6 tractors ?

Neat tractor. I learned to drive on a DM600 with a 5X4 twin stick and then spent several years driving a DM600 with a 5X2. Loved both of them. Not a street racer by any means but if true Mack engine, trans and rears they are darn near bullet proof.

Need some troubleshooting input/suggestions on 24v-12v step down panel

I think you might be running into a problem with all the grounds tied together. Most of the time when using converters the output needs to be isolated from the input. That would explain why your converters have two black ground wire. You need to have a separate/isolated buss for the 12V-GND that...

    10 KW generator question

I have used my MEP-003 to power our home for several days on a few occasions and have had no ill effects on anything in the house. I just loved the fact that I could power all the normal lights plus 2 refrigerators a separate freezer, 2 central AC units and the electric oven and only hit about...

    manual hubs not locking

One of the most common errors is that people pack the hub and sliding collar with heavy axle grease then the collar can't slide to lock the stub axle to the hub.
