    Already Bobbed Deuce on GL

Now that this is over can someone post the link. I was very curious to see more about this even though I was not interested in purchasing it. I military bobbed truck is certainly a curiousity.

    M101 Aluminum or galvanized?

Ok I don't know for sure about the M101, but my M105 body is definetly galvanized. Unfortunatly they used the wrong paint on it though, so some of the paint has pealed. It is a later year A3 though.

    auxiliary fuel tank

If you need a small diesel tank then think of using a military 5gallon tank mounted in the stock fuel can mount on the drivers side rear of the truck that is if this is a M1009. Another idea is to get a second tank built to fit there but larger.

    Deuce towing 5tn

I towed one of Westfolk's 5 ton tractors with my M35 and it worked just fine. It did feel heavier then towing another M35, and it is a bit wider. I was going 45mph on the highway with some higher and some much slower depending on hills. Take it slow and get a feel for it before you have to deal...

Thinning WVO or SVO with gasoline

I think this has been talked about in other threads here, so you might want to do some searches. I have done this with my deuce though. Due to the acidity of WVO though, and that I am running the stock fuel system I only run this on long trips where I know it will be burned out within that trip...

Holy Cr*p $4k Deuces sold on GL

I live 5 minutes from there so I always watch for an easy on. For some reason though even the junk at this location goes high. Last year there was a M35 total beater that went for like $2500, and then there were a few rust buckets this summer that went high too.

How crazy am I? Pulling an M105

YOU ARE GOING TO DIE TOWING WITH A DURANGO!! (HAHA! Thanks for the excuse to post this pic again.)

    HEATER KIT

As a fellow Virginia resident I would not suggest you bother with the heater for now. Virginia is not that cold afterall. I would make your modifications later at your own pace instead of trying to do a bunch of major work at pickup time. I like the idea of the generic water heaters that reuses...

    Parts is parts

RE: Re: RE: Parts is parts How much for the battery box? I need one. I also need the mirror brackets and body mounts. Oh also a triple swtich and engine cuttoff cable, but they are cheap to buy new.

    Lodging for Jim Thorpe Show

RE: Re: Jim Thorpe show It is getting to be depressing thinking about shows like this as the first thing I do is find the milage to calculate the fuel cost. Very depressing. Oh it looks like it would be about $300 for me.

    New Advertiser

RE: Re: RE: Smart advertising My main concern here is to make sure there are not going to be any restrictions that come with this on bashing GL when they screw us. If it is still a free for all then I am for it. If not then the site will lose much credibility with me. As far as having a new...

    Help finding axles!!!

I am not sure about the width off hand, but I have new in the crate M1008 rear 14bolt axles. No front dana 60s though. Those are almost impossible to get these days without PAYING $$$$ I am located in Richmond, Va.

Won a Bid at GL (!) Now What?

There is not too much to it. You don't pay anything until the EUC clears. The EUC is not about the vehicle it is about you, so you need to include your VIN(SSN) along with other basic info. You also include your intended use of it. The only auction info you really include is the sale number. If...

    M35 Injector Line Ferrules

I have put some miles on the repair this morning, and there is no more leak! I still have to go back though to adjust the line to fit back in the rubber antivibration holder. The diesel shop suggested that the about 1/4" removed would not make a difference. She is purring again. I am going to...

    looking for generator for deuce

There have been some threads on rebuilding them for $150 which sounds pretty good considering if they are a good shop things would be as good as new with no surprises like you might find in a pulled one. If you end up trashing the alternator I might be interested in the wire cover depending on...

    M35 Injector Line Ferrules

Well a bit of reversal here. Guess what? My lines are leaking again! Anyways I took the line off and gave replacing the ferrule a try. I found that the ferrule are a hard steel that was not able to be cut with a hack saw. I ended up using a bench grinder to remove it with LOTS of care as I did...

    need parts for 105

EZDUZITBEAR what else are you doing to that M105? If you are not using the air system I need the hose assembly on the drivers side and tank as the ones on my trailer were damaged.

    M35 Injector Line Ferrules

Yeah I tapped and twisted and was about to pull out a bigger hammer before I realized what I was about to do:) There is just not a lot of room to work with though. I am figuring a slide hammer will work.

    M35 Injector Line Ferrules

Well a little change in plans on this. I finally got a proper set of line wrenches from napa, and removed the line. It looked to be in good shape, so I cleaned and reinstalled it with no more leak so far. The fitting is bottomed out though, so if things loosen up again I will have to replace it...
