Mobile, Oh yeah, There are going to be plenty of pics, Photography is another hobby of mine.
Besides, It's a lot easier to put something back together nit you have pics of how you took it apart,,
Guess how I found that one out.
Steel, The line in question looks like a hydraulic line, The problem is where the line screws into the valve body is just a small brass double male fitting with no flare for a hydraulic line, will post pics.
Finally got the Deuce home last night at around 9PM,,, Started work on it about 4 PM about 50 miles away, Wanted to at least get three new fuel filters in it as well as grease all the U joints and suspension parts.
Filter service went great until we discovered that the new seals would not fit...
I have also heard that mismached batteries can sometimes go boom.
Anytime we replace batteries in the larger stuff at work we do all of them for just that reason.
I know it's annoying but trust me, that buzzer is your friend.
Just start the truck up, Make sure you have oil pressure and take the time to do a good walk around.
By the time you get done checking everything you should have enough air pressure that the buzzer should be off.
If it's still going...
In reply to ichudov, Any engine will wet stack, It's just a lot more common on diesels.
I nknow of one guy who used his class8 tractor for personal transport to work and back for a couple of years the relicensed for OTR hauling. He said the first time he put a good
heavy load on it the thing...
Just my 2cents worth, I've run heavy equipment and farm machinery for 30 + years (still have all my fingers and toes too!:D) Chains stretch, So do cables. I still remember pulling brush with a tractor when I was a kid and hearing broken chain links whining off into the brush like a ricochet...
I had to say something on this one here, I drove a tractor trailer for a little over 15 years with no accidents. One of the BIGGEST reasons I finally got off the road is that the other truck drivers were/are just flat scary,,,
40 tons is NOT a sports car,, And no, you DON'T! just turn the key...
Hello everyone, Finally decided to join in after lurking for about a month, Doesn't hurt that I finally commited to buy a Deuce yesterday after getting it running then driving it for about 6 miles.
One thing I do want to say is THANK YOU FOR THE TM'S!
Here she is! (I hope,,,)
