Big Mikes Motor pool has the banjos. We tore all ours out including rubber NAPA had all the fittings we used a roll of nickel brake line easy to bend and form to old ones. The tees you can use a brass block tee and get the fittings to mate up to the lines. Bought a new flaring tool from Mac...
You just roll up your sleeves and dig in start with the driveline and work your way up. If you dont have a love for it trade it in wreckers are a lot of work I spent a year on mine still not done yet. The hydraulic hoses get from Surplus Center replaced most of mine for around $600.00 and they...
I would stay with the steel I was taught many moons ago from a Master Sgt. over in germany thread 2 jeep tires through the cable. Also we used to lay canvas between the tires over the cable. I believe we snapped three front winch cables I can remember and this setup laid the cable right on the...
We had to go through 3 different clerks in Sullivan County at Dmv The last wanted tow insurance M816 the last one called albany. They lowered the weight from 36.000 to 22.000 for historic plates. I guess it is a different pail of worms for a newer one good luck.
Insurance was not an issue with us as long as we went with Historic plates. Actually quite cheap when we registered it at DMV they had to lower the weight to get the plates surprised it went so smooth some fus about tow truck insurance they let it slide.
We ran 12 wreckers in Germany Pershing Missile units we got just about 60 mph as far as rpm not over normal. We first had quite of few of the gassers then some 543a2 when the 816s came that was the icing on the cake they were fairly new and had few problems Hydrovacs went on them regularly. Also...
Junk yard called me today he had military tires come in 10 of them. Went down to look they were the super singles as you guys call them bolt pattern was right but did not take them asked him to save them. Im thinking larger tire big loss of power climbing hills in our area low range gets 50%...
The marker lights came out of Brazil IN 47634 that was the return address. I did not want to name the vendor as I feel it was not his fault and so I did not get another warning from Uruguay [ where is that on the map must be a retired veteran] .The insulation on the wires started separating just...
Bought one at NAPA 2 months ago $92.00 guess I got a good deal did not come with gasket. Made one using silicone and coated the other end with Vaseline.
Found our problem added marker lights and they were shorting out in bulb socket poorly made they were all aluminum too.
Also where wires went into front light housing they ha frayed and were rubbing against each other.
