Could someone identify this broken hose?

Looks like the Speedometer cable with a rubber cover that's cracked but not a problem.

    Some Random New Guy questions

Two ways to look at it, the guys bobbing deuces have the old bed for sale for around 500.00, but you need to go get it, shipping----well forget it. Or-------you bob and put a trailer bed on yours! There is a thread of " To Bob or not to Bob" going on so I'll leave the decision to you. I like...

    Deuce help!!!

If the bearings and races were fine, then it's probably the shoes not releasing after a while. Either the wheel cylinder is gummed and sticking or the brake line flex hose is collapsing and not letting fluid back. Drive it until it's getting hot, jack it up and see if it turns by hand or is...

    Sale 5127 cleared today!

Most all my antique toys mark their spot. If they don't, they are most likely empty. The English maintain their roads this way. People who don't like small leaks will not enjoy older vehicles. They will go mad. I like the saying that don't be concerned if the leak doesn't add up to a "...

    Sale 5127 cleared today!

Hard to believe but my first EUC cleared from auction win to Pd in full in 63 days!Hope the rain hasn't filled the stack to the top. I've never put my hand on it. Leap of faith, pictures, and a NG mechanic who looked my truck over a year ago and said it was a good runner. Thanks for the pick up...

To Bob or not To Bob?

I couldn't bob a mint original, but like both styles. I'd bob a beater and have both. The hauling capacity would come first since it is a truck first. After that, a bober with cool paint and options to your taste would be a real show stopper. Huge tall tires and a whistler are a croud pleaser...

how to turn up fuel...in pictures?

Great shot of the pyros. One will be sufficient for me. Two more gauges would be cool though. I'd do one pyro and one boost. I appreciate this thread Thank You! John

how to turn up fuel...in pictures?

Thanks for the red arrow! I was lost reading about the triangular cover, facing right , to the rear, facing the radiator etc. The previous picture shows the two nuts , but not the rectangular cover on top at the rear. Does anyone have a picture of where ahead of the turbo you drill and tap in...

    my deuce won't start.

No fuel, no run. In case you didn't know, there is a slow burn 3 amp glass tube fuse under the little cover with two studs and hex nuts on top of the fuel tank. Turn on the Acc. / power switch and see if you hear the in tank fuel pump running. It should be sending fuel up to the primary filter...

    Driving ?

Find a local Texas Steel Soldiers member with a deuce and get a driving lesson from him! Beware! You might buy two of them after that!

New to the site and going to buy a Deuce.

If you buy from GL, plan on a long wait 60-70 days on the 1st EUC. Down south, I'd go soft top, up North, heater and hardtop. Winch is very expensive to add! If you want one buy it with. GL sites with lots of trucks=cheap., few trucks , especially nice near a large city, expensive!!!!!! You...

    5147 first EUC

Sounds like mine. ( first one ) Took 36 days for battle creek to send a letter saying they had processed my paperwork and blah blah about exportation or further sale of the item. Supposedly, I'll get the pd in full invoice in about a week after this. Any other experiences here?:deadhorse:

I now know how they process a EUC!!!!

From reading all comments while I await my pd in full, I wanted to share knowledge as to how a EUC is processed. I worked for the Farse Circus for two years. The personel office was in charge of new-hires, one day I went in to ask for some forms and noticed some FS 171 forms a half foot high on...

    Dang Mice! Enough is enough!

Go to the store and buy regular , original green Irish Spring bar soap. Mice detest it worse than mothballs. Do not put it on the seats or cloth without a plastic bag under it or it will stain. I've seen cars in barns full of mice with a dirt floor stay mice free. You have to change it out...

    Removing under coating

Sandblasting would be a mess , expensive, and you have to protect wiring etc. Then you would have to paint and seal it. The best method is to warm it with a propane torch, ( not melt or burn it ) and scrape it off with a putty knife. Take your brain out and put it on a shelf. Do the miserable...

Fun's Over in Bama, State Requires EPA/DOT Certificates of Conforminty

The sun is starting to shine! On May 5th, Wisconsin passed senate bill 392 which allows Deuces to be licensed as collector vehicles and with no load restrictions. You can't drive it in January blah blah, but---------I'd copy it and push for the same idea in Alabama with your state legislators...
