    Help with electrical

TECHNICAL MANUAL, something you need to become familiar with if your going to own a HMMWV. It's surprising how so many people out there are willing to spend the high dollars that it takes to get involved with a vehicle like this and then are completely ignorant of the thousands of pages of...

Humvee military antenna for Ham Radio use

First off I'd tell you to go back and enter this into the search bar and then read the multiple inquiries your going to find there. Next I'd ask you what amateur band would you like to operate on since the band will determine the antenna. The most common military antennas in the military are...

No power from battery at all

Grant, The master light switch gets it's power thru the control box directly from the batteries so it isn't looking good there. Power comes into the control box on wire 81A to the engine connector on pin E, links thru the box and comes out on the body connector on pin F and then over to the...

No power from battery at all

Let's back up a second with the troubleshooting. Does your truck have one of the well known-to-fail Chinese keyswitches in it? If it does change it out first and see what happens. Next I would check the voltage on the main starter lug first to make sure it's getting that far. From there...

Clunk when changing direction at low speed

I had one of my brake calipers come lose and it would clunk when I was stopping. Since he didn't say what vehicle he was running I wonder if this could be the old driveline Ebrake banging? It's near enough to the Tcase. And yes, there are still a number of those old doggies out there running...

    HMMWV gauge panel wiring diagram

All of this is located in the back of the TM 9 2320 280-20-3 manual. If you haven't already downloaded them you should! Now the REAL QUESTION here is why is the +24V power to the voltmater labeled 567A when it's simply another lead coming off of the 27 line?

    M1165A1 Headlights Burning Out

My suggestion would be to find a multimeter with a "peak hold" function and connect it to your headlight wiring, either #17 or #18, (91 is ground) and then turn on the headlights. This will read the peak surge voltage as they get powered up. See if it exceeds 30 volts. I've been running...

    M998 hmmwv brake vibration

At one time I had a weird noise that was cause by the upper bolt on the left front shock tower being loose. Again, it wasn't every time I stepped on the brake. Torqued it to spec and the noise went away.

    Versions of HMMWV Tachometers

Just curious, how you grounded your tach? Did you go from one of the tach mounting screws to the body or just jumpered it to the neg lead (black) coming up to the tach?

    CQ CQ CQ FIELD DAY

The newer digital radios suck at "tuning around" when you have to do direct entry for the frequency. Could you be a little more specific? Thanks
