    CX-10613/G cable needed

Just as an FYI, Aervoe 997A paint is the right color and gloss for mil radios.

    TM For RT-524 ?

Some data for you here. The series of manuals you want are the TM 11 5820-401-34s. The 34-2-1 & 2-2 are for the RTs, the 34-3 is for the 442.

    Nice RT524 FOR MY FAV

The RT-524 was introduced during the Vietnam era and was used past 2000 because the Sincgars radios had so much trouble when first introduced. That MT-1029 mount will hold quite a few radios, RT-524, RT-246, GRC-125, GRC-160, PRC-660 so it's a good flexible system. With the exception of the...

    HMMWV Tachomoter

I've been looking in the classifieds for a HMMWV tack but thought I'd look a little closer to home. I need one of the "terminal strip" model tachs and wondered if anuone know if anuone has them available? TIA

    What does this sensor do

That sensor is an RPM detector that's used by the STE/ICE test set to measure engine RPM. It doesn't report to anything else and is not critical to the operation of the vehicle. It can be used to send a signal to the tachometer if you have one installed.

Humvee Fuel Tank Overfill Causing a leak?

It's a well known fact that when the coupling between the filler neck and the tank either loosens up or cracks from dry rot the tanks leak when filled. Get up under the vehicle and check the hoses and clamps. Remember some of these trucks are now going on 37 years old and rubber doesn't last...

    wires 57K, 325A and 325B = turn signal flasher

The schematic diagrams for the electrical systems in the HMMWVs are at the very end of the -30-3 manuals. There are several of them there and they reflect most of the variants of the HMMWV. If you go looking for your specific model it may or may not show up but keep in mind that about 90% of...

    Wiring for a trailer

Why are you bothering with this gadget when all you need to do is install the wide range LEDs in the existing lamp sockets? There's no rewiring involved and replacing the lamps is as simple as removing the covers and replacing the bulbs. Our world is complex enough without creating issues.

Picked up an 09 M1123 and the power steering is wonky

Keep in mind that the pump used Dexron fluid and not Power steering fluid.

Black Dog Customs - Reverse Light Kit

You might want to do a simple wiring diagram for the non-electrically inclined. This sounds like a great idea and the safety aspect of it is first class.

Black Dog Customs - Reverse Light Kit

Picking up horn power is one way to power the backup lights what I did was to pick up power from the shifter legend marker lights (40) , This gave me the option to leave them off if I wanted to by leaving the dash lights off.

    Solargizer/Pulsetech mounting on 1151

The only thing that needs to be close to the batteries is the converter box that provides the high voltage spikes to keep the batteries from sulfating. The solar panel itself can be anywhere and comes with about 15 feet of wire.

    Solargizer/Pulsetech mounting on 1151

I mounted mine in the center of the hood between the radiator opening and the windshield thinking the curious can see it but they can't touch it. I mounted it with wellnuts to simplify the mounting and to add a little vibration protection to it. The wiring I ran down inside the channels on the...

    HMMWV Thermostats

Gentlemen, This was my error and I apologize for it. The correct part number is their 4367 thermostat with a diameter of 2.5" with an opening temp of 180 degrees.. Their 4364 is only 2.12" in diameter and as Mogman points out it WILL NOT FIT.

    Tachometer testing

Valor, Are you looking for the same information? I think this system is one of the least understood additions to the HMMWV and I think there are an awful lot of people looking for this information. Those of you that retro'd a tach and it worked are lucky, let's find out what needs to be does...

    Tachometer testing

Does anyone know if there is a way to test the HMMWV tachs before installing them? Is there a bench test for them and the RPM sensor? Is this thing a Hall Effect sensor? Thanks
