Hi Mike,
Yes. It was there, sudden. After stopping and continuing driving, it came back. I have the engine at a shop for Detroit engines at the moment. They checked everything but what they found is not the reason for the noise. Perhaps it is the trans or gear box?
Best regards
Richard
Last Saturday I drove 80 miles with the Goat. No problems. On Sunday, after 1.5 miles of driving, there was a noise which I never heard before. I stopped and made a walkaround. Nothing to see. Shafts okay, engine oil level okay, cooling water level okay. So I continued my drive - with no noise...
Hi frenchman,
Thank you very much. In the meantime I found a TM -34P dated December 1986 which shows only one wiper motor used on driver and passenger side. It shows exactly the same numbers from the ebay item's box (NSN 2401-01-133-7120). I will order two and I hope I am fine. I am just...
I got some new wiper arms and wiper blades for my Goat. Unfortunately I cannot use and install them. The former owner installed civil wiper motors which I cannot identify. But they are not M561 related.
Does somebody know, where I can find a wiper motor for the driver and passenger side? NOS or...
Hi Gabinett,
Are you still looking for a tail gate for your Goat's carrier? I have a used one here since I installed a new one. I am located in Northern Germany, 400 km west of Granica na Odrze, Świecko, Poland.
Send me a PM if interested. I can send you some photos. And if interested, I have...
Mine served in Germany, came to Belgium, was sold to a collector in England - and she made it back to Germany. :D
The winch kit for the Goat was stored in an original wooden crate. Went back home to the US. And came back by vessel to Germany. So the winch has seen more miles than the Goat.
Èarlier I tried to figure out if there is an interest in canvas covers for carrier and tractor, made in the USA by the original material and blue print. But the interest was extremly low. So I am interested in a vinyl cover for my carrier if it comes complete with the end curtains (same color)...
Is it the M792 I've seen on Milweb, located in The Netherlands? Nice picture, nice Goat. If yes, what do you have to repair or restore? Pictures would be nice.
First I am not a guru in a vehicle's electricity. But I have a problem with my Goat where some help or a good advice might be very helpful.
This is the situation:
When I am on the brake pedal or setting the turn signal to the right, the bulb on the carrier's right hand (driver's side) is not...
Sorry for the missing information from the TM.
I am not looking for the deflector, I am looking for the seal NSN 5330-00-410-2329, P/N 11640306.
I already contacted Truck Parts Trading and got a negative response. They don't stock this part.
Nevertheless, thank you for the information of the...
Hi,
After repairing my Goat's brakes in 2014 I had some fun in driving it. This year a friend of mine made new brake shoe pins for my Goat, because I wasn't able to find some. So I had to open all six drums again. And on the left front axle I found - again - mud and rust in the brake drum :-( ...
